Oh yes, Killswitch's album is every bit as good as I thought it would be...

Ok, this song (to me) is talking about using the time we have to make a difference.

The fact is, no one knows when they will die, and we alone have the choice, we can sit on ass and do nothing, or we can make a differance to the world we live in, either way, we will die at some point.

It seems to me that Howard has a very different view on shit, to Jesse, Jesse was a Christian, and believed that we alone can't save ourself, no matter how good we are, where as I get the impression that Howard feels we will be judged by our actions, not our faith.

I respect this, I think its cool that Howard has written shit as he sees it and not tried to fake Jesses style, that would have shown through straight away.

I may be wrong about the meaning, but regardless, The end of heartache Kicks untold amounts of ass...

OMG, everything that has been on my mind has finally been put into words for me!!! I got the immediate impression from Howard that he was less subtle than Jesse David, even on Spirals with BHBS. It's impossible to compare the styles of the two without entering a wormhole of awesomeness where the mind is stretched in ways it was not meant to.

To me this song is a wedding vow. It shows the depth of committment. They will stand as one against the rest of the world. It is only them now, noone else matters.

i love the last riff of this song and how it breaks into embers rise. this song give u adrenalin like alot of other k,e songs. i dont think this song is a wedding vow. sorry charismafairchild. i have so much respect for these bands like this. such as lamb of god, it dies today,dimmuborgir, the black dahlia murder. all those bands write about important shit about life and death. and heres taking back sunday and 50 cent who are talking about nothing but girls they lost or how the hot girls strip or whatever, and they get rich and famous and get like 500 comments on songs about that shit. and heres killswitch talking about really deep, awsome stuff and they get like 20 comments at the most. its all fucking bullshit, seriosly. wat the fuck is the world coming 2? viva la metal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The constant same beat and riff get boring, but it has good vocals and the bridge is pretty solid too.

One of my favourite Killswitch Engage songs ever. It's just so fun to sing along with, if you ask me.

I think the last verse is about the end times and the middle ones are about christians stickin together and not worrying so much about the world getting worse because we already know the end is inevitable

I agree with charisma. It's about two people sharing a very deep connection, and knowing that they are there for one another, they can shoulder the burdens together.

He's just reassuring her that they're there for one another, and they can handle it together, that they can shed the burden and let the weight off their shoulders. That even if the world burns, they will still be connected and helping one another through it.
