I Need to Say Goodbye Lyrics
I know you just want to kill me
End the pain inside
I still reached out my hand to you like
An innocent child
You took me for a ride
You took me for all the other fools in your life
Now I don't care about your pain anymore
I need to say goodbye
You're worth nothing to me
It's easy to forget
What you've done to me
You took me for a ride
You took me for all the other fools in your life
Now I don't care about your pain anymore
The world is filled with sunshine, love and roses
You bleed enough and then the bleeding stops
What you've done to me
You took me for a ride
You took me for all the other fools in your life
Now I don't care about your pain anymore
I need to say goodbye
You took me for all the other fools in your life
Now I don't care about your pain anymore
I don't care about your pain anymore
End the pain inside
I still reached out my hand to you like
An innocent child
You took me for all the other fools in your life
Now I don't care about your pain anymore
You're worth nothing to me
It's easy to forget
What you've done to me
You took me for all the other fools in your life
Now I don't care about your pain anymore
You bleed enough and then the bleeding stops
You took me for all the other fools in your life
Now I don't care about your pain anymore
You took me for all the other fools in your life
Now I don't care about your pain anymore
I don't care about your pain anymore

I really do think that this is about betrayal on some level. I know because this is how I felt when I was betrayed by someone that I "reached my hand out to", and who just took me for someone who could be easily used and thrown away.
It seems like he's saying that he reached out in a time of need, but the girl/woman just took him for another regular Joe to sate her for the time being until the next one comes along. Then maybe, she realizes that he's different, but it's too late, and the damage has been done, and he doesn't care that he's breaking her heart by "saying goodbye" because she's already broken his.
I agree. I think its about a woman using him, and she doesn't realize or care that she's hurting him. He knows he needs to leave her and end his pain, but is so in love that he forgives anyhing she does
really enjoy the sound of the guitar (especially @ 1:50 )
and of course, real charm of this song is bitter reality instead of sweat lies (of being really in love )
