Yeah yeah
Yeah yeah
yeah
You were smiling by my table
Had to call up everyone that day
A beautiful mind and body
What a happy ending I see

My mind had been enabled
In a memory you overflowed
Want to be your superhero
Even if I tumble fall

I'm ok
You have that effect on me
But I need you desperately
You know I need you desperately

Brick or stone cannot hurt me
Madmen around the city go
They attack I'll bring them down
Making their chances super low

Oh my my, pretty naval
Dimple cheek, a face I adore
Want to be your superhero
Fallin' from a running horse

I'm ok
You have that effect on me
But I need you desperately
You know I need you desperately

I oh, I
Hold to that elusion
I, oh I
I'm not your average guy

Other guys they won't dare to
Join the line in order you peck
When they introduced me to you
My face had turned to super red
Your steady beck and call boy
Play'n on the piano
Want to be your superhero
Not afraid to tumble fall

I'm ok
You have that effect on me
But I need you desperately
You know I need you desperately

Want to be your superhero
Yeah I want to be your superhero
I want to be your superhero
Oh I want to be your superhero
Oh yeah
Oh yeah
Oh yeah

I think this song is about meeting an amazing girl and having to not hold back and just put yourself out there with the risk of possibly looking stupid / silly to get to know her and show her that you are interested. Also about beating out the competition of guys trying to impress and get with said girl.

is there a different version used in entourage, cause perry farrel's vocals sound different, and the music seems a little harder in the entourage version, but that's probably just me. they might've just edited it all to hell ;)

like all of the strays album its about being famous.

this particular song is about how when your famous you can do no wrong. everybody loves you and nothing can hurt you (ego-wise).

    My Interpretation

This song to me encapsulates the feelings you have when you fall in love. You want to do anything and everything for them, and don't want to see any harm come to them. In effect you want to be their personal "superhero".

Most the lines throughout to me quite obviously reflect the love for a woman.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
