-The communist revolution in Russia
-World War 2
-The Hundred Years War
-The assassination of JFK / RFK
and its telling us to guess his name. this is tracing our history right back to jesus' time, which nobody can live that long. there is no mention of the devil in the song, but it says that his names include lucifer. that is the devil, particularly as the song is called sympathy for the devil. if we look at the events that occurred not one of them was an act of god or the devil, but was of man himself. this draws us to the conclusion that:
his name --> the devil --> humanity
this is strengthened by the fact that religion is a man-made ideal.
