Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.
Respect the structure
Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.
Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)
Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.
Don’t mix versions
If you’re editing the explicit version, keep it explicit. If it’s the clean version, keep it clean. No mashups.
Let the lyrics be lyrics
This isn’t the place for interpretations, memories, stories, or trivia — that’s what comments are for. Keep metadata, translations, and bracketed stage directions out unless they’re officially part of the song.
Edit lightly
If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’
When in doubt, ask the crowd
Not sure what they’re singing in that fuzzy bridge? Drop a question in the comments and let the music nerds swarm. Someone always knows.
he doesn't want the holy girl to go, it makes him feel strange/sad. Why does he know that he will be feeling strange/sad? maybe because she is gone far to often?
After my break-up, (my holy-girl left me) I was able to drown myself in this song(in a good way)...
i think the female sounding vocal layers may possibly represent angels voices, as the words "holy girl" may suggest,
and therefore the subject may feel like this experience is of purity, the supreme point of his existence, which he is clinging to like the "sands of time"
i guess love can be very spiritual, if he refers to her as a holy girl. intense.
and since it's kinda hard to sing to, it makes it one of those songs you just have to listen to. air is good driving music while driving through open spaces/the coast.
this song works perfectly in the french film Lila Says.
Such a therapeutic song. I'm from America, where most popular music is filled with sexism, hate, and extreme ignorance. It's nice to know that there are people in the world still writing music with class. Awesome song - contemporary, cute, tasteful, a little haunting, and very true.

He wants her to stay with him for all time.
Dunno about you lot, but this song makes me shiver.

I think this song is definitely "haunting" but hardly "romantic." Why would his holy girl reciprocate this love by running?
These sound more like the delusional thoughts of someone who has abducted a girl he practically worships.
thank you.
thank you.
This song is so haunting, I love it, especially at the parts where he repeats "run run run run" over and over somewhere a minute into the song.
favorite air song pretty
this song is amazingly gorgeous. it reminds me of radiohead, though.
Fuck Radiohead
Fuck Radiohead
my favorite air song. "sands of time, are lying, on my chest." it makes me feel so free. clears my mind.
