Dead World Lyrics
Look down around
All is not well
Victim of change
Far out of range
A in non-A
Be or be not
See what I see
Get what I got
Sometimes I wish I could see beyond this dead world
Sometimes I wish I could see beyond me
Dead World
King of my world
This rule I break
King of my world
I eat my cake
An in non-A
Be or be not
See what I see
Get what I got
Sometimes I wish I could see beyond this dead world
Sometimes I wish I could see beyond me
Dead World
Softly, angry, bitter, killer
Torn flesh, more less, ears curled
Dead world
All is not well
Victim of change
Far out of range
A in non-A
Be or be not
See what I see
Get what I got
Sometimes I wish I could see beyond me
Dead World
This rule I break
King of my world
I eat my cake
An in non-A
Be or be not
See what I see
Get what I got
Sometimes I wish I could see beyond me
Dead World
Torn flesh, more less, ears curled
Dead world

i love this song!!! and to see no one has commented on it yet makes me sad :( i
i'll comment!!
Hehehe, This song means that no matter what you dream, you gotta stay in the boundraies of reality. yet Wayne saying how he wants to be set free from his past memories...he'd seen death, seen murder and pain...he talks about how he wishes to go 2 a world devoid of violence....
great song meaning well song speaks it self xD
"I eat my cake" I think it's a metaphor of using something that is yours
This song is inspired by the book "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand. Tripp Eisen was a huge fan of Rand's work and her philosophy.
In the book, the hero, John Galt, argues that "A is A" meaning that reality is real and there is no use in ignoring it. But in a "dead world" of corruption, A is non-A because people ignore reality.
The character also argues that the "looters," who steal the products of the minds of others, like to have their cake and eat it too. All of this behavior leads to the dead world that Wayne sings about.
The song is about not ignoring the truth, and not ignoring the bounds of reality.
Tripp Eisen paid tribute to this novel by having the phrase "who is john galt" painted on his guitar.
Oops, I just read my last post, and it should read "guitar picks" not "guitar". The phrase was on his picks.
seems to me he was singing about some sort of decadence in the world and how he escapes to his own world where all is as he wants to be
