I actually really like this song, it's my favorite Godsmack song. Even if it resembles Alice in Chains, is that such a bad thing? It's still a good song. Alice in Chains was an amazing band. In my opnion, Godsmack is too.

AiC and Godsmack are totally related. on Smack This! when asked about the band name they said they stole it from AiC. shrug end of story.
each band is brilliant in their own right. two of my all-time favourites.
Not 100% true , sully made fun of a guy who had a cold sore on his lip , the next day sully had one himself and a friend said looks like god smacked your face for making fun and the name stuck, they were aware of the AiC song Godsmack but they still liked it and went along with it

Sully actually said that this song was written during a godsmack tour that lasted more than 4 years in which they all were away from their families and friends. They were arguing a lot and were almost at the point of breaking up the band.They decided not to let their egos decide, and do the right thing.

Alice in Chains.. Awesome band! But Running Blind has got to be one of Godsmacks greatest songs.. by far!
best godsmack song ever
I think this song has a blatantly obvious meaning. After Sully got the Serenity he so badly needed, now realizes that he change all the light bulbs in his house. He keeps "running blind" around his house so I think he either needs to replace all the light bulbs or rewire the entire structure. He won't be "crawling on his knees" anymore.
