In the most recent Metal Edge, there's an interview with Scooter, where he says that he wrote this song about how he felt when he was dying. He'd wonder every night if he was going to wake up the next day. When he explained it to his sister, this is how she felt too. He wrote this song for both of them. |

Haha, you guys are assholes. :)
I actually really like this song, it's my favorite Godsmack song. Even if it resembles Alice in Chains, is that such a bad thing? It's still a good song. Alice in Chains was an amazing band. In my opnion, Godsmack is too. |

This is my favorite song (not just by Cold, but overall), and has been for a few years. I have a disorder called Body Dysmorphic Disorder, which is basically like OCD, only you're obsessed with your appearance and causes you focus only on your flaws. I can listen to this song on repeat, over and over again for hours and not get sick of it in the least bit.
I've always found the lyrics "all the world loves things of beauty and intrigue, these two things i've never had one" so disgustingly true, not just concerning myself and my own problems, but concerning the world in general.
Anyway.. this is an amazing song. I don't think anyone could ever do any better. |

I love this song, but I'm not totally sure of its meaning.
I read somewhere that it was about a girl who was involved with prositution.. ("Don't you think you've had enough? Do their claws make sores? Take my hand and come away, and I'll take you home") who Scooter cared about. Maybe she felt as if there was nothing left for her, and was considering killing herself ("Whats the gun there for?").
I don't know if that's right. I guess it would make sense, though. I think Scooter wrote things about most of his songs, sort of explaining them in a way... somewhere? Maybe I'm wrong.
Anyway, this is an awesome song. I love the music at the end of it (the "I'll take you all the way, I'll take you all the way back, I'll take you all the way, I'll take you all the way back home" part) for some odd reason. :) |

I agree with Snevik. I always thought that he was kind of referring to himself, in a way, with this song. I'm probably wrong, though. I guess we'll never know? |
