it doesn't really have to reference off super heroes, but it can, but i mostly think about ordinary people.

i think this means that,'I can take care of myself and i don't want you to give me your sympathy'. meaning i think, that i'm trying grow up with your help. thank you very much

"I need you to trust who I’m gonna be And in everything I’m going to do"

'Can you just believe that i am who i am, and just accept the things that i'm doing.' is basically what its saying.

"Cause I’m not afraid of what I don’t know For understanding is all that I earn But what is for sure is I’m gonna go I’m gonna live and I’m going to learn"

I have to say, this is my favorite part of the song, cause for what i think, the song is pretty much saying is that everything that we experience, every mistake, every injury that we got in life, we'll live and we'll learn from it.

A new person has arise and matured. and seek help from the person that sympathies them or from anyone else. They will follow the destiny that is already paved for them and live what's already there.

Overall, i think song is very inspiring. The lyrics pretty much speaks for themselves, i just went into depth of what i think the lyrics say. and i think two words pretty much summarize this song:

Wow, I cannot believe no one has commented on this song. This is a wonderful song by Hoobastank. I think this song can be interpreted in two ways. This first would make it seem like this song is a continuence of "The Reason," and I'm sure all of you catch my drift on that argument. However, I also think that this song could hold some kind of symbolism for some sort of Godly Figure. But, I lean more toward the first thought.

This is a really great song! And I think it's about someone who is going through changes and also wants to be understood by another certain person : "I need you to trust who i'm gonna be..." well,these are my thoughts...

To me this song is describing the journey that superheroes go through. All heroes start out as nerds or losers (spider or daredevil) but when they get their powers it doesn't just make them powerful, it changes their personality. They become more confident and this incredible feeling comes over them, making believe that not only can they do things noone else can, they can do something incredible (like saving people from harm and defeating evil) when he says, 'i need you to trust who i'm gonna be', he's saying, 'i'm gonna go do something amazing, but i need you to believe in me to make me go on and do it'. Totally amazing song, i love it.

Absolutely amazing song from Hoobastank. Pretty simple meaning behind the song: Right Before Your Eyes I am changing...more simple: everyone's changing in the best way possible.

Oh, and all those superhero references are made due to the fact that Hooba made this song specifically for Daredevil. :D Best superhero ever.
