(Chorus)
It's days like these
That make me feel
Like I want to bleed
Through my heart again
It's days like these
That make me feel
Like I might as well
Be on my own again

I take back everything I said
About loving you
Now that you've left me on the ground
I can fly away
To someone new
Don't pretend like
I don't know you're untrue

I never meant
To bring you down
Nothing but good intentions
I never meant
To bring you down

[Chorus]

I take back everything I said
About loving you
Now that you've left me on the ground
I can fly away
To someone new
Don't pretend like
I don't know you're untrue

I never meant
To bring you down
Nothing but good intentions
I never meant
To bring you down

Take it back, this time
I'll just move on, I'll just move on
Take it back, this time
I'll just move on, I'll just move on

(3x)
Take my heart, make it grey
I'll never forget
I'll never forget!

    First off FFTL is amazing....

To me, this song's about a boy & his girlfriend (obviously),.. i think the girlfriend screwed him over some way, by cheating on him maybe. "Dont pretend like i don't know you're untrue". The boy wants to move on, "Take it back this time, i'll just move on" --but she'll always linger in his heart & memories "Take my heart, make it grey. I'll never forget"

Just my $.02 I could be completely wrong.

Here's my analyzation of this song...

It's days like these that make me feel like i want to bleed through my heart again.

A boy finds out that his girlfriend cheated on him...

It's days like these that make me feel like i might as well be on my own again.

He wants to leave her bc of the news he's found out, but he doesn't want to

I take back everything i said about loving you.

He wants to forget he ever loved her

Now that you've left me on the ground i can fly away with someone new. Don't pretend like i dont know youre untrue.

He wants to prove to her that he can move on & be with somebody else, just as she did

I never meant to bring you down, nothing but good intentions.

He intended all good in their relationship, & didn't mean to bring her down, meaning have her cheat.

I never meant to bring you down. Take it back this time, ill just move on.

He wants to move on & forget he ever loved her.

Take my heart, make it grey. Ill never forget.

She'll always have a place in his heart... & always linger in his memories. Good AND Bad memories.

There's my OTHER $.02 lol. more specific that time.

ok there's this poem.. it goes:

falling feels like flying, until you hit the ground. and everything is beautiful, until you take a look around

i have no idea who wrote that, or where it comes from (but i would love to, so if you know please tell, thanx) but the song title reminds me of it so i'm wondering if theres a connection.

It's cuz this song came out on the EP Aesthetic, Philip sung this i believe, that's why it sounds so different, as it was there 'old' style. amazing song, i agree with FightForTomorrow's interpretation of this song :)

everyone's talk of the "old style" and how much they liked it is gonna be really happy. According to Alternative Press, FFTL have announced that their forthcoming album (first one since Sonny left) will have a sound "more like an evolution of our earlier stuff----like 2003's Aesthetic EP"

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
