I absolutely love this song, one of my favorites by them. and I agree that it's about the relationship between two people who used to be together but aren't anymore and (commonly) she still sees him as the man she used to love but to him now he's just the one she dumped and the history/present are clashing.

i'm surprised no one has commented on this song. this might be my favorite YYY song... or atleast my favorite slower YYY song. they're soo amazing and this song is just mind-blowing. beautiful.

This song is very clear.. a relationship has ended,, you want to get back, but you know you're better off.. he'll never be again the one you loved, he will be de one you dumped, full of rage.. full of the same deffects..

I like how they went opposite in the title. Yeah Yeah Yeahs singing "No No No"! This song is really really good. I like how it goes slow at the first then fast in the middle, then the weird but cool ending. It's definitely one fof the songs I listened to more than the others...amazing. Karen O

I think it's about someone else stepping in on her ex-relationship. She's broken up with someone and he's gone and gotten himself another woman and now she's jealous. "I told her no no no" as in "No, I won't let you have him"
