The air my lungs first loved
Carves craters from my eyes
They said,"Breathe deeply son
Or be the next to die"

Beneath the falling night
And heaven's shutting gate
Pray keep your tongue held tight
Or suffer the same fate

The blood on our black gloves
It is none of your concern
If you want to call our bluff
"Get in line and wait your turn
And watch the witches burn"

Don't flinch when innocents
Are dancing with the flame
If they wanted to live
They'd learn to play the game

You can still walk away
If you just hold your tongue
If you'd just walk away
You'd live to seen the sun

Under this killing moon
Under this burning sky
The fire's shining groom
I hold my breath and close my eyes

The blood on our black gloves
It is none of your concern
If you want to call our bluff
Get in line and wait your turn
And watch the witches burn
We'll watch the witches burn

dude "fadeofflashes" have you ever heard of there song under par. This is like perfect example of that song. You set your self up for thrice to be like perfect on "the artist in the ambulence" but it didnt meet your ecpectation. That doesnt mean the cd is not good, it just shows that you set the bar to high. Plus you have to think about the fact that this is only one of the songs, and not all of the songs on the enw cd. IT is only one of them. WEll yeah, furthermore, i think this cd will be great. Cant wait till it comes out.

I am pretty disappointed. I mean, the music is good (notice how I did not say GREAT like I would about every one of their other songs.) But the lyrics do not touch their others. They would be impressive for another band, but seeing as how Dustin wrote songs like In Years To Come and So Strange I Remember You, this is not up to par. It seems like he unlearned everything he went to college for and is writing from a very simple position.

I think this song is pretty good. It may not be as great as some of the others but I do like it. I can't wait for the album to come out.

Think of it as 'The Red Death' of TAITA. I suggest you read 'The Crucible'.

Wow guys...for those who just don't dig what you are hearing off their new album, I really can't immagine why. I've only heard three of their new songs, and so far I think their unbelievable. Easily some of the best thrice tunes I've heard, and this has got to be my favorite.

I duno guyz, obviously on a VERY VERY VERY surface level it is about the salem witch trials. Do you know any other thrice song that is this surface level? 20% is on the surface, but the rest is below. I dont think this song is any different. I think it is talking about the salem witch trials, but that the salem witch trials are an allusion so something else . . .

Remember when the Communists were taking over the county during vietnam, I forget the term used. But everyone was being accused of being a communist, So that one dude released the film of the salem witch trials. It was the exact same thing, he was just relating it to something done in the past. I beleave this is no different, I just cant put a finger on it . . . maybe im looking to deep and it is just a surface level song. But anyhow, i think it is FRIGIN RAD!!! when the drums come in, you can't tell me you don't feeling it!!

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
