Know What It Means Lyrics
Remember what its like to be you? To be you
Remember what its like to be me? To be me
All that I see
These eyes in my dreams
These thought police coming for me
Do you know what it means to be free?
Do you know what it means to be me?
Neither do I
Neither do we
Do you know what its like to be one?
One of us
Do you know what its like to be one?
One of us
One is a family
Perfect in apathy
Being a clone isn't all that it promised to be
I am invisible just like you
Just a reflection of what I consume
And now I, myself, will be consumed
Consumed for the sake of you
Remember what its like to be me? To be me
All that I see
These eyes in my dreams
These thought police coming for me
Do you know what it means to be me?
Neither do I
Neither do we
One of us
Do you know what its like to be one?
One of us
One is a family
Perfect in apathy
Being a clone isn't all that it promised to be
Just a reflection of what I consume
And now I, myself, will be consumed
Consumed for the sake of you

following Andrews point of the CD being a story The main character has left middleschool in Little Green Men, and is now in highschool.
And the whole song is about how everybody is starting to conform to the mass, and taking labels and joining cliques.
Somewhere he meets a friend; "I am invisible just like you Just a reflection of what I consume And now I, myself, will be consumed Consumed for the sake of you" Which is his friend saying he's sacrificing himself for his friend, to keep him out of the cliques.
I think that this song is about how (now more than ever) people are starting to be less free and more like an army of clones and robots, seemingly told from the point of view of one of those said robots.
