You're never gonna get along hanging around
And thinking out loud
You're never gonna get it on
And be someone stuck in that crowd
So you call out for feelings you hope that don't never exist
But don't be ashamed of your bones and your blisters
So come on come on my brothers and sisters

You can only be what you are
You've got the heart of a star
But the light never hits you
And I said come on - come on
My brothers and sisters

If you could see what I could see
Maybe we could all get along
And maybe I can justify the bad things in life that I've done
So I call out for feelings I know that don't never exist
I won't be ashamed of my bones and my blisters
So come on - come on my brothers and sisters

You can only be what you are
You've got the heart of a star
But the light never hits you
And I said come on - come on
My brothers and sisters

And the slower that you go the greener the grass grows
And what we all need is love in our lives
So go about you business
Cos' life ain't your mistress
Come on come on my brothers and sisters

You can only be what you are
You've got the heart of a star
But the light never hits you
So be all you can and just hold up your hands
Someday you'll understand
Why life never kissed you
And I said come on - come on my brothers and sisters...

This is a great song, but its Noels attempt at 'Born on a Different Cloud'. Its a good attempt though. Like 'She is Love' is his attempt at 'Songbird', Liam brings the best out of Noel at the moment.

it's nothing like born on a different cloud. It resembles 'whatever' as a matter of fact. It's an optimistic for the underdog.

Does it really matter if this is Noel's attempt to make his version of Born On A Different Cloud? Liam & Noel are from the same band they're not copying each other so it doesnt really matter. Noel is the better songwriter though, but Liam is still good.

I think this song was written for and about his older brother Paul. Makes so much sense... he was the one who was never hit by the light. He was the one who was put apart from all that success, and rock 'n roll lifestyle.

    My Interpretation

I like the view that Noel wrote this song for his brother Paul. The brass band in the background does evoke a lot of memories of a northern type-Manchester cultural heritage like the theme tune from Coronation Street which could be a reference to the Gallagher brother's upbringing. The last reference to one day he'll understand why life never kissed him is about destiny. Sometimes are born to be rock n' roll stars, but others are not. There's a reason for that, sometimes we need to go through life to know that. Maybe Paul will be the one to bring Oasis back together by showing the Gallagher brothers how to reconcile.

This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
