aww, come on people. I think this song rules. It's got a weird, 80s vibe to it, and its way out there. I like it. I can't wait to see the new video, but err, i saw some video stills for it, and Joel's wearin' some white tracksuit shudder..i HOPE that it's just poking fun at that whole tracksuit trend..i severely hope so..

I think Good Charlotte has a masterpiece on its hands. This song is a poignant satire of the standards we as Americans face due to the images the media puts forth on television. Good Charlotte describes an unfortunate paradox -- males are always chasing females, constantly making them feel good about themselves in order to make love to them (Boys will laugh at girls when they're not funny). Girls, on the other hand, are giving guys what they want so they will be able to attain material things (Girls don't like boys, girls like cars and money).

Good Charlotte has accurately depicted the sad truths of twenty first century American life in their latest pop song.

You know what I find funny? Just looking back over some of the first comments on this song (doubt anyone will use this site for over three years), but some people don't know who the members are, and then confuse them and make themselves seem like idiots. In the words of Mark Twain "It is better to keep one's mouth shut and to be thought a fool than it is to speak and to remove all doubt." That guy Xbright_eyesX thought the bassist also sang. They had the design of a five member band when this album was released (they didn't have a drummer), and so they had a vocalist, who ONLY SANG.

I just find that's pretty funny.

Its not annoying, you're just saying that because you don't like new wave.

of course this song is true... its the cynical view on how society is... so lets poke a little fun at it.

I was a little offended when I first heard the lyrics to this song. I am a girl with a body and I don't like Ferarris. I also am not looking for a "boy" based solely on his economic status. But after reading the lyrics I think I see that Good Charlotte are attempting to be ironic and make fun of shallow, materialistic people. Too bad it comes off as ostensibly misogynistic.

I could sit here and write a big essay on what they're trying to say in their lyrics but there's not point because no one will listen anyway; although I agree with an earlier comment on how it's just about materialism... bleh what does it matter? if you like the song who gives a rats arse what its about? Try not to get so caught up about the meanings of songs, people thought that Americas song "Horse with no Name" had some deep meaning but in reliaty it was just a song Neil Young wrote when he was drunk... Get over yourselves and start appreciating the music and stop obsessing about the music; if you don't like it, fine but don't degrade people that do...

Blink and Simple Plan suck balls, too. The only member of Blink that's any good is Travis, but he still can't even touch Neil Peart.
