The piercing, radiant moon
The storming of poor June
All the life running through her hair
Approaching guiding light
Our shallow years in fright
Dreams are made, winding through my head

Through my head
Before you know, awake

Your lives are open wide
The V-chip gives them sight
Of all the life running through her hair
The spiders all in tune
The evening of the moon
Dreams are made, winding through my head

Through my head
Before you know, awake

Through my head
Through my head
Before you know
Before you know, I will be waiting, all awake

Dreams are made, winding through her hair
Dreams are made, winding through her hair

Well, my friend told me this because he said it was on MTV2 in Britain..."Inside The Music: System Of A Down". And, I thought he was joking me at first, but he meant it very seriously, so, this could be actually solution to this mystery, and it doesn't even seem like it, but the video may tie it all in.

OK. It was told to me, by him, it was about how spiders crawl into your mouth at night and stay there while you sleep, and eventually, you inhale and bam, the spider is eaten. Many people do this in their lifetime. This is how I tied it up:

"The piercing radiant moon The storming of poor June"

    • Spiders come inside when it storms, and it storms in June sometimes (although I think they made that to rhyme). So, when the moons out and it rains, usually spiders come in.

"Dreams are made winding through my head Through my head Before you know you're awake"

    • Basically just means spiders come in and they go into your mouth "before you know you're awake".

"Your lives are open wide The VChip gives them sight"

    • It means that we're exposed to eating spiders, and arachnophobia (VChip) can cause us be frightened by them even more.

"Dreams are made winding through my head Dreams are made winding through her hair"

    • Spiders are made to crush our how vulnerable we are. Humans are scared of many things, and being scared of spiders makes us even more vulnerable for a challenge, so he may be saying they deserve to scare us.

I think there is way more to it, and this is a kickass song, but this is what was on the show...

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
