Another day inside my world
I'm married to you and this road
A road that never let's me sleep
There's no way to escape these demons I am forced to keep

And then I'll find you here
Through your eyes
Everything's clear
And I'm home
Inside your arms
But I'm alone for now

I mean the best with what I say
It doesn't always sound that way
I never learn to work things out
Cause in my family all we ever seem to do is shout

And then I find you here
Through your eyes
Everythings clear
And I'm home
Inside your arms
But I'm alone for now, alone for now

And I try to sleep
The drugs I take are killin' me
I think of you to ease my pain
But your so far

Now it's time to say goodbye
I love you baby please don't cry

And then I'll find you here
Through your eyes
Everythings clear
And I'm home
Inside your arms
But I'm along for now, alone for now

It seems like all of Stainds songs i can relate to, or i can use everyone of their songs (that i've heard) for a number of situations that i might be going through or that i have gone through. I love this band and even though i've only been with them since Break The Cycle i hope to get their other two CD's. I love this song, it describes exactly how i feel about my girlfriend.

this song has true meaning to me, mostly in a positive way tho. shes not a girlfriend but when im around her i just feel good about myself and i cant really explain why. and the part about being alone for now is when im not around her.

This song has deep meaning for me, this song i played at my mothers funeral, i was only 17 when she died, this song describes perfectly about how my mother constantly felt about her life. my favorite part of the song isthe drugs i take are killing me so i think of you to ease my pain. best and most true part.

This is one of the most powerful songs ever written. I don't think anyone but Aaron Lewis could ever write a love song like this. It's for his wife. He speaks of all the bullshit and bad things that he has had to deal with, and still has to. And when he thinks of his wife, everything goes away. She's his safe place. Simply amazing... STAIND4LIFE

    Song Meaning
Honestly Aaron Lewis is one of the best song writters of all time.....=) okay first..I can see how people relate it to being on tour and being away from his wife. Long rides away from home not laying next to the one he loves or seeing her would kill anyones soul and heart.... But another meaning comes to mind that maybe when he says "road" it means his life..He's married to her yet he can't change the way he lives or the way he is for anyone...Maybe he hurt her and he misses her but he can't change the way he is cause that's just his life....His life maybe so painfull to live that her watching him live it pushes her away....But he needs her cause she is what keeps him saine in life..She is his safe place and he doesn't want to let the best thing thats ever happened in his life fade away....=)pure awesomeness!!!

Sunglasses at Night
Corey Hart
In the 1980s, sunglasses were a common fashion for people who wanted to adopt a "tough guy" persona (note all the cop shows from that era -- Simon & Simon, Miami Vice, etc. -- where the lead characters wore shades). So I think this song is about a guy who wears shades as a way of hiding his insecurity after learning that his girlfriend is cheating on him. He's trying to pretend that he's a "tough guy" to hide the fact that his girlfriend's affair is disturbing him.

This track is about is about questioning why the sky would choose to be blue if it had the choice to be anything else, “blue also meaning sad,” states frontman Aaron Pauley. “It's about comforting a loved one in a time of loss by telling them you feel blue, too.”

Shudder to Think
This song is timeless, and nearly 20 years after its creation, still possesses the mystique it did the first time i heard it ~1994. To me, at first blush, all those years ago, it had some kind of homo-erotic allure. The line "so that the others may do" tells of something which must be done for others to follow suit. It felt like like some kind of roxy-glam-pop invitation to sexual liberation. Upon further introspection I think the song may not have an intrinsic meaning, but simply represents a sort of "holding open the door" for people who otherwise might be affronted by this song/band's unusual style. I know, as a sort of armchair rock-historian, that there have been few bands so daring and so true to the sound that wanted to emerge from within, whether the creator wanted it or not. This band handled it with elegance and grace seldom, if ever, seen.
