Vivica Lyrics
i dont necessarily think this song means that jessicka (the joj vocalist) is in love with this girl. i think "vivica" is a girl who's in an abusive or not so wonderful relationship with a guy who doesnt treat her the way she should be treated and she feels like ending it, but she song is about how she should be strong and carry on without him. although im not too good at interpreting lyrics..
who says the guy has to be abusive? "he's just too vague" makes me think of an old school man, brought up to never show his true emotions and thats why he will never call her beautiful. she is a person who needs to feel loved, she needs to know it in words, not actions. the man will never change because, as it says, hes not brave. he has probably been molded into the person he was today by a powerful father figure. she tries so hard to impress him but it never seems good enough. this has caused an effect of her not being able to sleep (anxiety disorder of some sort, and possibly even OCD) so she has to take the pills to fall asleep but because of the anxiety disorder, her dreams are nightmares, not good dreams. the reason why jessika, the singer, wishes she could keep her there with her, could be an attraction, sexually, or dear friends. jessika sees the girl as beautiful nonetheless and wishes she could show the girl this but maybe cant because of distance, and constant travel? anyways, the girl has set herself on this path to destruction an thats why nothing can save her but herself, no twist of fate or any of the other things said will save the girl because only she can save herself and that is why she is being wished well...
@ImmortalPoetry idk, i think the guy is abusive because half the song jessika shows how much vivica is struggling. she\'s "burning in humid hell", and "rotting." i don\'t think these lyrics are referring to anything else in vivica\'s life because that just wouldn\'t make sense with the rest of the song.

It seems that no one has taken into account the lyric 'the apple falls far from the tree' 'the apple never falls far from the tree' is a phrase meaning that you're always going to be at least a bit like your parents. Now thinking about how Jessicka has the changed the phrase, has this added another meaning to her description of Vivica?
This is, IMO, the best JoJ song, but what do ppl think it means? I'm pretty sure that it's about a girl who tries to commit suicide because her boyfriend is an idiot, and the singer is in love with her. I stilll can't quite work it out though. Does the subject die or not? Did the singer encourage her to take the pills?
I really like this song.
Well I have another theory,I think Vivica is actually missi romero marilyn mansons girlfriend of 6 years and jessickas friend at the time, she use to date manson before he was famous, when he became famous the relationship ended "He'll never change he's just not there",she was addicted to drugs and in horrible state of mind "She takes the pills to fall asleep and dreams that she's invisible",i remember watching an old video of her saying i will always love brian "I watch you sit I watch you dwell",you could tell she was upset when saying it and was indubitably apparent that she still loved him.
Hmm, I think this song is bout a girl with an abusive boyfriend maybe? Anyways, in my opinion 3rd best song by JOJ.
Perhaps it's about Jessicka's friendship with a girl [Vivica] who needs to get away from a relationship that is slowly ruining her. Well, regardless of what the song is truly about, it's definitely one of the best Jack Off Jill songs that has been written.
this song is brilliant... i agree with filthskin, but i think that the singer is in love with vivica- 'i'd like 2 keep her here with me and tell her that she's beautiful"
ladyboygrrl - that could be friendship or relationship. i've told my friends they were beautiful many times before. i think it could be about one of jessicka's friends who is in a not so great relationship and jessicka is saying that she is beautiful and can live on.
i think they are being sarcastic in this song 'i wish you well', and the singer is not actually JoJ, they mean it like death orsomthing, and its the girl slipping away, her boyfriend doesn't sound abusive 'hes not brave enough', just maybe low self asteem as well, so they are both hurting, but she just gives up to dying
