Big Neon Glitter Lyrics
Drag me back
Drag me back
Through the revolution without solution
As the wall gets taller
As you get smaller
As we get smaller
The fear is getting taller
The big neon glitter pushes into you
Sex from the hip at the crack of a whip
The wall gets taller
While you get smaller
Push against the big neon glitter
Pushes into you
Drag me back
Through the revolution without solution
As the wall gets taller
As you get smaller
As we get smaller
The fear is getting taller
The big neon glitter pushes into you
Sex from the hip at the crack of a whip
The wall gets taller
While you get smaller
Push against the big neon glitter
Pushes into you

C'mon! No comments? This song deserves at least one. This a good song! The entire Love album is excellent. The Cult ROCKS!
Yeah why only 1 comment, great song but haven't much of clue what it means? The intro sounds a bit like a slowed down version of Pretty Vacant though! From the fantastic LOVE album an absolute classic.

This is one of my all time favorite songs, especially the drums played by Big Country drummer Mark Brzezicki. I keep checking back to see if anyone has good ideas about the meaning?

Anyone that's ever been to an Anne Summers party will know EXACTLY what it's about! 🤣😂
This is my favorite underated song. Unluckly, I can't really understand it really well.
But my only idea about it, it's probably a reference to the Berlin Wall during the Cold war, and how people are feeling dependent about it, and might also be afraid to act, when they might be killed (As the wall gets taller As you get smaller As we get smaller The fear is getting taller).
As for the part "Drag me back Drag me back Through the revolution without solution", I think it's recalling the beginning of the Cold War and the Berlin wall being created. But if we link this to the song title, I guess it's like a return in the past. But if we look at it more clearly, it can also relate to the theory of surpassing the speed of light and seeing the past, since a Neon is like some kind of light.
Sorry if I kept proceding in this. I guess thats what the lyrics mean in my opinion.
It's a song about prostitution, kids. Perhaps in Vietnam.
A total rip off of the Sex Pistols, to which they fully admit, another great song by The Cult.
See REVOLOUTION later on iIN The Love Album for more meaning ;) Whole Album is basically about the same thing. You go to a new City after being all your life in another city. Your eyes are opened up to so much stuff, new ideas, new ways of being and you usually fal in Love or like me you go with your Love because your sick oft he olde Town/City.
