The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh Lyrics

From the primeval mass
let precious chaos vent
Sacred flesh drenched in fornication
beloved of Set
may the winds gather her together
from the secrets of men
after thousands of years of terrifying silence
she comes again

(All Destroyer)

The abolition of the yeshua begins...

Shattered are the icons of the worthless
the Goddess scorned is a Valkyrie born
scattered are the wings of the virulent holy
leave their husks to be the prey of vultures and dogs

World without end
cherish the lissome wants of pernicious evil
dusk in her eyes
torn bloody weeping skies
darkness will hasten to devour
and the weak will flee or die

Sie sind es die sich
anderlieb festhalten
fur immer betend auf knien
vor der (finisteren) gotten

I slay the lamb in the fervour of thine
Abandonment unto Our Lady
With a quenchless thirst for the infinite
For Her that exists beyond all knowledge

Storming from tired centuries
Under the glare of a waxing death-moon
Terrible beauty of love severed
Rip the baby from the virginal womb

The blood of Jesus
Is the wine of the dead
And the drunken angels
Bleed with incest

The Liliot suckle on Her fruitful breasts
And yield the swords that sever and stain
There will be no act or passion wrought
That shall not be attributed to Her names

To the name of Baphomet:
Artemis, Bastet, Astarte

I yearn to thee who art darkness in thy rising

I believe this song is about the reincarnation of evil, not the fear of heresy/witchcraft (the principle of evil), which so many Christians fear, but in flesh form, the fears of the Christian world are now real.

Although Cradle aren't a band that gets recognition for their leads too often, the solo in this song is really fucking cool...

close... The incarnation or personification of pure evil is what the name and meaning of this song refers to.

It's basically saying "They pray for that which is never recieved"

This transcription is missing what Dani sings at the very end of the track, which are lines repeated from earlier on:

“Shattered are the icons of the worthless The Goddess scorned is a Valkyrie born Scattered are the wings of the virulent holy Leave their husks to be the prey of vultures and dogs”

Also, this song is one of the early CoF songs in which Dani can be seen establishing the themes that will come to dominate his subsequent work. It’s about the awakening of an ancient force- the “evil” of the title, depicted here as in many of Dani’s songs as a seductive female- and the subsequent destruction of the (Christian) world. Also similar to other CoF songs is the relationship between this “evil” deity and her worshipful human liaison (the narrator/speaker) being cast as sexual or romantic in nature, with the laying to waste of Christendom seeming to be secondary- almost a product of, or the logical conclusion to, their all-consuming lust for one another.
