you let me stumble when i was learning to walk
then you'd wipe away my tears
you never fought my fights but helped me face all my fears
i was always right until proven wrong
but never heard i told you so
i see it clear after all these years
now i want you to know that because of you
i am strong
i can find my way
i can spread my wings and fly
and know i'll be okay
by letting go i realize one simple truth
but i guess i always knew
i'm who i am because of you

it must have been hard to watch me make mistakes
but you took it all in stride
even though you didn't catch me when i fell
you were always by my side
and because of you
i am strong
i can find my way
i can spread my wings and fly
and know i'll be okay
by letting go i realize one simple truth
but i guess i always knew
i'm who i am because of you

there comes a time when everything moves on
i know one day i'll find you gone
my heart will ache to see your face
but i'll still have the will to carry on
because of you
i'll be strong
i will find my way
i'll spread my wings and fly
and it'll be okay
by letting go i realize one simple truth
but i guess i always knew
i'm who i am because of you

by letting i realize one simple truth
but i guess i always knew
i'm who i am because of you

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
