I'm a Japanese and a huge fan of CAN. The Japanese lyrics in this song is hard to distinguish/understand even for a Japanese because Damo's voice is indistinct and the grammar is unusual -- but I try.

As you see, the meaning is ambiguous (as with English part). Maybe what matters for Damo was not what the words convey but how they resonate with the music (and a feel of strangeness and exoticness created by the use of Japanese), I guess. I hope this helps.

It's killing me to know what else he's saying. I'm taking this song in to my Japanese teacher to see if she can translate it for me. I'll come back later w/ the results if I'm successful. As for the backwards lyrics, I'll see if i still have that program that can make them go backwards and give you those results as well if I have them....
@Phrogex kind of too late information for you but just saw this comment above so I translated what Damo says in the Japanese part. It seems related to some Buddhism thought. One man sitting alone with a broken brain. Who taking a piss above a rainbow we call parasite. threatening to hunger after left from town of LSD. but still ok since the morning hasn't come yet.

wow, i wanna know what the hell their music is about too. Im a big radiohead fan and i was reading that Thom York was a Can fan so i downloaded a lot of their stuff. [thumbsup] i like it even if i can't uderstand.
This song is superb. Cool as hell.
It sounds like it's raining at the beginning. They even sound super when their drummer goes boom-bah-boom-boom-bah-boom-bah-boom-boom-bah. I mean, really awesome, but, hey, hey, this song is just as a collision as their other stuff on Tago Mago.
