The more I think, the less I see
When I'm able to walk
I'm queen of my world
I let it rain on my skin
I don't let myself down
I don't let myself down
Just want to be one with you
Want to be one with you, oh

The more I think, the less I do
When I'm able to talk
I'm queen of my world
I let it rain on my skin
I don't ask myself why
I don't ask myself why
I want to be one with you
I want to be one with you

All I want is to rock your soul
All I want is to rock your soul
All I want is to rock your soul

And all I want is to rock your soul
All I want is to rock your soul
All I want is to rock your soul

I feel closer to the clouds
I'm touching all the highest leaves
On top of the trees
My desire's release
So we let it rain on our skin
You're holding my hand
I'm holding your life
And I feel like I'm one with you
I'm one with you, you

And all I want is to rock your soul
All I want is to rock your soul
All I want is to rock your soul

All I want is to rock your soul
All I want is to rock your soul
All I want is to rock your soul

I think I have to give you something
More than words is that something sure
I show you my dreams
To make' em our dreams
Won't you just be
I'm what you see, oh

And all I want is to rock your soul
All I want is to rock your soul
All I want is to rock your soul

All I want is to rock your soul
All I want is to rock your soul
All I want is to rock your soul

Together with the sun (all I want is to rock your soul)
We shine all the way (all I want is to rock your soul)
Together with the rain (all I want is to rock your soul)
We fall through the air (all I want is to rock your soul)

Together with the sun (all I want is to rock your soul)
We shine all the way (all I want is to rock your soul)
Together with the rain (all I want is to rock your soul)
With the sun
With the rain, the rain and the sun

Together with the rain
And the sun
Only with the rain, the rain and the sun
With the sun, with the sun
With the sun, with the sun
With the sun, with the sun
With the sun, with the sun
With the sun, with the sun
With the sun, with the sun

    My Interpretation

I absolutely adore this song and just recently got a tattoo on the side of my arm that does indeed read "Rock your Soul" in script . I adopted this quote as my life mantra years ago and it has and always will stick with me . The phrase only is all so passionate and i believe that's what stimulated my interest from the first point of hearing it ! If someone were to ask me what it meant i would break it down by each word...and i feel as though the three words get more powerful as you work through each one

"Rock" - taken in simpler, more cliche' terms, i interpret this as "making the best of" or putting in all your effort as if you only have one opportunity. She could have simply said something stupid and more basic but i love this word choice and believe it adds style to the whole three word mantra itself . Looking at it from another perspective, a rock is a solid object with concrete foundation...it's dependable and provides my mind a sense of security in "rock"ing anyones soul !

"Your"- There is definitely more to this that i think gets overlooked a lot of times . Depending on who is reading it...this could be you, me, him, her, anyone ! Therefore I take it as an ambiguous word . As it lays tatted on my skin, first instinct is to think that "your" applies to myself . As my life mantra, it is desired that I always stay true to myself and do whats best for myself ! Not to let anyone heavily influence me to the point where i have lost my own origins . Then I think that this phrase isn't completely selfish...and the song reminds me of that . It is obvious she isnt speaking of herself . As stated by a previous poster, I believe that God does play a part into this . To make an attempt to even rock God's soul the way he has mine is not fathomable, but it is still a priority . Living for God to use me . Lastly, "your" can be applied to anyone else outside of God and myself....doing things for others to make them happy or feel special is an important element to my happiness . Something I see as important, to be caring and considerate...so that's how the second word plays out. God, myself, or anyone else for that matter .

"Soul"- Here is the big one ! What is a soul ? it's MUCH deeper than a word...that's for sure..a soul is what differentiates each and every one of us....we are all humans on the surface but it's the soul that gives us personality, it provides the beauty within each and every one of us, without a soul we are pointless. It gives us a sense of self identity and self awareness . I don't know about you, but I think that is pretty crucial ! The soul pushes past the body or flesh to the part God intended for us to love .

Overall, the phrase together is a very cohesive group of words . To "Rock Your Soul" can range from meaning just be you to encouraging others to be the best person God intended them to be with purpose and everything in between those to short meanings .

That is all just my interpretation of the key part of this song . As for the rest of the song...ha ! story of my life ! I'll save that for another day. But this is a truly beautiful song and I could listen to it all day and think new thoughts...it also inspires me to want to play the piano !

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"
