I think this song is kind of about enjoying your depression. Some of AFI's songs are like that. Even to quote one song, which I dont' know the name of off the top of my head, "Give me the Disorder I adore."
I also have another view. It's about being suicdal. To the point that you can't control it. Suicide haunts you everyday, even in your dreams.
