has anyone ever read the book Brave New World? I think this tune falls into that book exactly. Its about children being amnufactured into seperate groups like the assembly line. and I think its about breaking out of a world like that. However, there are prolly much much deeper metaphors than we can imagine

It's about one of Max's friends in high-school. He wasn't stupid, but had a lot of emotional problems and was thusly put into like, special programs and all that, that, coupled with Max's own high-school experiences.

I relate a lot to this song tonguetied because I do to a special shcool but pretty smart. I feel like this because I don't like people a lot and just wanted to be left alone half the time. But I wanted every one to be happy. I'm also a maverick and hate being like everyone else. Yet I worry about being look at like stupid.

These lyrics are so brilliant. This song IS highschool. Its about how some kids just aren't one of the clones. They could be a loner, a loser, mentally disabled, or just rejected. On another note, this is one of the few songs where the music video really brings the lyrics to life. Except for some of the movie clips. ...Does anyone get me?

I think its about how school are run not necissarily about social out casts about how they cart us along the crappy education system like fish (hence the macroeconomics)

This is perhaps my favorite song as it is the song that got me into music. Yes, you may think that i was a deprived child (probabbly true :) ) but that is the way it is. It is, to me, quite excellent and the first thing that struck me was the use of a rhetorical device in modern culture ("Take my tongue It's cocked and loaded") (a metaphr/allusion).
