Here's To The Night

this song has been used as a prom anthem all over the place but it's about how Max(writter) temporarily falls in love with his one night stands when hes on tour and he knows he has to leave but doesn't want to. There must be quite a few "put your name on the line, along with place and time. I guess in a way its appropriate for prom since prom is infamous for its promiscuity.

Call me crazy, which im sure will happen, but while i know this song is a reminder of youth to me it also reminds me of a one night stand. The lyrics just hit that tone the first time i heard it. Being at a party with your friends, meeting some girl and saying hey this is our one chance,lets take it. All signs may point to not doing it, but between you and her it feels right so you do it. The song is more unspecifically about being young and carefree. like my name says. Live Your Life do what you want when you want to do it. Regrets are only things that are left undone and this song is a perfect anthem to that. Youth is king right now, nothing should stop us but ourselves.

I've never had a time when I couldn't listen to this song and feel better...there will always be a night to remember with me. It hits me and reminds me of love.

the song is about packing up and going away, its why it is so popular amoung we teens, we are approaching or have passed the point that we may never see our friends again. personally i goto a boarding school so at the end of every summer i play this to myself, its a reminder of what you had, dont take what you have for granted you will miss them when they are gone

To me this song is the reminder of a love lost. In one night i lost the love of my life. We stayed together that night, but in the morning he left. When he did finnaly return he had changed. He was a diffrent person and now he loves another. And i am left with the remembrance of that night. The night i felt alive.

To me, this song speaks to me as someone who's reunited with an old lover temporarily. He wants to know "Are you cool with just tonight" because he's going to be "gone for good again" very soon. He doesn't want to have to leave, which is why he says, "Can't I stay an hour or two or more?" He doesn't want to, but he has to let her go.

This song is one of my favorites...it totally captures the feeling of fleeting youth...

i actually read somewhere that the lead singer (can't remember his name) said he did write it about a one night stand. but either way, an awesome tune

This song jas a deep meaning for me and a lot of my friends. It was played at the last dance at my old school before summer, before we all parted ways. It was the last time we were all together before"my friend committed suicide. It may mean many different things to different people, but to me, it's about having to leave everyone behind. It's about losing your childhood and your innocence to the great unknown ov your future. At least, that's0what It is to me, and you don't0really care what I think, do you?

no matter how overplayed this song is, it's still a really good song... it reminds me of my prom this year...
