Showerhead Lyrics

Cheap shot hocked straight to the ear drum
Is it some sick sign of affection?
Violated and singed with deceit
Disgust from my head to my hands to my feet, yeah
Your face, it gives foul taste
Whether smiling, crying, or denying
I see your motives and you're charged with fraud by me
So take the hint and leave

I loved you while he was in you in the shower
Did (in joy and ecstasy) your eyes begin to water?

Hey, oh...

And if I may stop by when you're living in the next town
Ten years down the road
A good time for a dime and a crushed cigarette
Making bets with your body on the avenue
Look into my eyes, you say
And you'll see nothing but sincerity
Almost as if you've got some hope that you'll enlighten me
You're a head-case story

I loved you while he was in you in the shower
Did (in joy and ecstasy) your eyes begin to water?

"Just trust me," you said
"Just trust me," you said
"Just trust me," you said
I say no

I loved you while he was in you in the shower
Did (in joy and ecstasy)
Your eyes begin to water?

I loved you while he was in you in the shower
Did (in joy and ecstasy) your eyes begin to water?
Did (in joy) did you enjoy?
Yeah
Yeah, hey

It's not really perverted...it's heartfelt. Max wrote it about his girlfriend cheating on him with one of his friends. I'm guessing in the shower...? Poor Max.

Actually according to Max when asked about this question (friend with back stage pass in chicago), he said he was with this girl for quite some time. She decided to mess around with a guy while max and her were on a break. The first time thing they actually did was she gave him head in the shower, atleast thats what she told him. Eventually he learned that it was alot more than oral sex. Thats why he says "did in joy and ectasy your eyes begin to water?"

As a girl who has been cheated on by a boyfriend with a best friend, in a bathroom incidentally, this song is awesome. It's slight vulgarity perfectly expresses how a person feels when they have been violated like that. I love this song. Stupid, asshole ex-boyfriend!

Slut gives head in shower - showerhead. Fairly self-explanatory, really. I think the reference to eyes watering is perhaps about him dumping her when he finds out about it - perhaps she cried when he dumped her and he said (bitterly) 'Are your eyes watering (crying) because of how amazing it was to have that guy in the shower?'. Dya get my meaning here?

"I loved you while he was in you in the shower"

I think he's saying that he was being true and he whole heartedly(SP?) loved her.. even while she was cheating on him

This song always reminds me of Margaret Atwood's novel "The Edible Woman". I listened to the album while reading the novel, plus there just happens to be a bathtub scene in it...

This song is about his girlfriend cheating on him with another guy. The name showerhead is a double entendre for the method ( or least part of the method) in which his girlfriend cheated on him.

The line "Did, in joy and extacy, your eyes begin to water" is asking her if she thought about him while being with another man and whether it made her cry to think how she was cheating on someone she loved and/or cared about.

The line"cheap shot hocked straight to the eardrum" indicates how she first told him of her infidelity. The subsequent lines tell how he felt upon hearing this information.

Great song, sad overtones, brings me back.

I always figured it was a song about his mom and dad.
