Mother fuckin' irony
How'd you get the best of me
Love is in the air, and you make it smell like SHIT!
Never thought I had a chance
guess I was just a trance
'cause I liked you all along and now I have to say so long and

I know I had my reasons
for not tellin' you my feelings

Like I'm a wuss
and I got no balls

Those stupid if's keep swarming me
like gnats
They won't leave me alone.
'Cause I wish you'd told me
If I had only known
And I'm such a loser
I should have let you know

Tell me now what good is love
when you leave it in a week
now I know that I would rather NOT know than to know

What am I supposed to do
no one can compare to you
Guess I'll just have to hit on a bunch of random, nameless women

Is this some sort of drama
a chick flick that I'm the star of

This can't be REAL
"He's in Denial"
I'm really PISSED!
"Now he's at Anger"
Now I'm really sad
"He's reached Depression"
Oh well, it's not so bad
"Now he's at Acceptance."

Those stupid if's keep swarming me
like gnats
They won't leave me alone.
'Cause I wish you'd told me
If I had only known
And I'm such a loser
I should have let you know

Those stupid if's keep swarming me
like gnats
They won't leave me alone.
'Cause I wish you'd told me
If I had only known

Those stupid if's keep swarming me
like gnats
They won't leave me alone.
'Cause I wish you'd told me
If I had only known
And I'm so pathetic
I should have let you know
So I'll tell her next time
I should have let you know

Ministry
Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
