No Ordinary Love

I've loved this song for 15 years and as a child somehow it struck me emotionally, even though I had never felt the pain love can cause (or vice versa). But now i am at the end of a marriage, my husband and I have been through it all and back again- and I'm still strong enough to stay, but he is falling to his pride and i am losing him, after 'giving him everything I got' We both know this love is unique- we have a magnetic attraction to each other's souls that has kept us relentlessly faithful for so many years. And we've always shared a passion for Sade, so this is one of our favorite songs.
On a second note, I hear Sade went through a serious heroine adciction while in a relationship with one of the members of her band (I think they were married?), and when she finally gave up the drug, he couldn't, and she speaks about her pain trying to help him, save him from falling...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have heard details about that here and there- either way, the song itself will break me down to tears for as long as i live.

it's about not being able to move on. she can't move on because nothing's can be like her & her love for this person. the love they had compares to nothing. so sad.

I think the lyrics read alone without music is a very powerful . The song though is is misty,dreamy ,and captivating. The song is about (I think anyways) someone writing to the lover that is not always in sight or in the same place at the same time. No Ordinary love,but feels like she is trying to find out what he is worried about in a way. The lyrics do not state it ,but the way they play the song is like someone trying to keep the 2 together by repeating that (Keep trying for you Keep crying for you Keep flying for you Keep flying I'm falling) My 2 cents given!! ; )

frustration, cos you know in your hearts that you should be together, but someone,, lots of them, in fact, saying .. 'didnt they tell you that a love like this wont last',, prove them wrong, cos they never experienced the true life long love.. that she is talking about. die loveless or fight . xx

i slept with the man this song is written about. rule number one....if you have to fly more than once to be with a lover....end it. the frequent flyer miles are not worth it...
