Forever Yours

I think its about losing a loved one and losing all contact with your emotions. But no matter what he/she will forever have the bond even after death. thats my thoughts!!! Anyone else have an idea?

I think it's about longing to fall in love with the person that you've been dreaming of, but not being able to find them.

In part, you lose a lot of hope ("downcast eyes") as the years go by. But at the same time, you still long to find that person, and a part of you still believes that you will, one day. So despite there being "no love left in [you]", you still say that you're "forever [theirs]" to that person.

But ultimately you don't have much hope left; hence "whatever walks in my heart will walk alone." There is no one to give your love to, but that doesn't make the love go away. Instead, all that love is just there, with no one to give it to.

It's been over two decades on this planet, and I still haven't found the girl I'm looking for. I sometimes doubt that I ever will. People tell me that my dreams are unrealistic, but I can't settle for anyone less than her, and my beautiful romance, so I might have to walk alone for the rest of my life. She's got to be out there somewhere, but I don't know if I'll ever find her in this world...still, I'm forever hers.

I think this is about not knowing what you have until it's gone. The person had the perfect spouse, but didn't realize that, and now that he/she is gone all the person can think about is what he/she threw away.

I'm with Demonic. The spirit of the loved one will be with her always bust she can't see him, "My time is yet to come" definately adds to the death part.

Either that, or it's about someone that feels as though they will never love, leaving their heart broken. Singing to herself which means that "So I'll be forever yours" Means that she'll have herself all to herself

this song just simply makes me emotioanal.

I think it's about someone has found someone she really loves, but who's personality won't let her actually be affectionate with them... and thus never has a chance at being with them. She knows love, but she doesn't know how to deal with it. Since she can't bring herself to go through that situation with someone else, she'll hang forever on that one person.

There are many things it could be, that's just one take I have on it.

I love this song so much, Nightwish are one of my favourite bands eva, and their amazing! this is just a beautiful love song and Tarja's voice is just gourgous on it, so much emotion, I can't really explain what its about, just emotion and that even though you're apart from someone, you'll always love them forever, they will stay in you're heart and no1 else cud compare to them ever! awwwwww

There are a lot of ways to take this song. It could be about someone who realized the love they had once they let it go, or it could be about someone who is in love but cannot seem to express it. What I find most interesting is that Tarja says she hates the way she sounds in this song. I think she sounds amazing.

What is that beautifully played instrument in this song? It sounds hollow, like a flute... but could it be a panflute? Is that even what it's called? :p.
