The desperate eyes are closed maybe it goes away
Please rest tomorrow and bring a satisfied day
The restless urge of love that's worth the burning for
Surely it's that one comforting love to give you more
And that thought can be that begins the brand new tangled web your spinning
Anyone can be a brand new love
Any time the force can be broken to tear you bitter world to be open
Anyone can be a brand new love

You won't be the first
Your twisted change is normal, gossip dirt
Whisper to the nodding head, thrilled you fell apart instead of them, but they will
'Cause any hope for love an be killed
If you need a different face, it's definite time to destroy this place

Follow what you feel you alone will decide what's real
Anyone can be a brand new love

I think it should be pointed out that this is a cover of a Sebadoh song.

I think this song is about coming out of one relationship and going into another.

"Anytime the force can be broken To dare your bitter world to be open Anyone can be your brand new love Anyone can be your brand new"

This means that you shouldn't be afraid to fall in love again, and that there are other people out there that you can fall in love with. So don't be afraid to forget about the last relationship and move on to new people

"You won't be the first Your twisted change is normal Gossip dirt Whispered to the nodding head Thrilled you fell apart Instead of them But they will Cause any hope for love could be killed If you need a different face It's definite time to destroy this place" it basically is saying if someone breaks up with you there will be more! :)

Whoever put the lyrics in skipped a part at the end, after the "its time to destroy this place" they have the chours again then they have- "Follow what you feel, you alone will decide whats for real. Anyone can be a brand new love" then they say the chours a bunch of times

I was really disappointed when I heard this song. My friend showed me "Cruella" and since it has been one of my all time favourite songs. So when I downloaded this piece of crap I couldn't believe it, i lost a lot of respect for them.

This song has great lyrics and such a sweet meaning. Its just saying if you break up then it wasn't meant to be, and that theres probably someone new for you, but it will take time to find them. TJE you should try and listen tot he Superchunk version. If possibly does anyone know who actually wrote the song, Superchunk or Deadsy or someone else.

This was one of the first songs I heard by Deadsy and it became an important part of me getting over someone very special...

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
