This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
I'll step aside this time around
Open ears await a still and quiet voice
Not with the timing that I have
Ready to make any change required of me
When I can't see where this uncharted life of mine is going
All I ask is carry me
And when I can't see past the cloudy skies that are looming up ahead
Hold my hand and carry me
Here with the world surrounding me
Enduring everyday is more than I can do
I lack the patience that it takes
So I am standing on the promise made to me
When I can't see where this uncharted life of mine is going
All I ask is carry me
And when I can't see past the cloudy skies that are looming up ahead
Hold my hand and carry me
Open ears await a still and quiet voice
Not with the timing that I have
Ready to make any change required of me
When I can't see where this uncharted life of mine is going
All I ask is carry me
And when I can't see past the cloudy skies that are looming up ahead
Hold my hand and carry me
Here with the world surrounding me
Enduring everyday is more than I can do
I lack the patience that it takes
So I am standing on the promise made to me
When I can't see where this uncharted life of mine is going
All I ask is carry me
And when I can't see past the cloudy skies that are looming up ahead
Hold my hand and carry me

I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example:
"'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
Magical

How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
This is the attitude that we as Christians need to have. We shouldn't always be trying to do things our way but we should be seeking what God would do "Open ears await a still and quiet voice."
We shouldn't be dead set in our ways but rather "ready to make any change required of me."
I guess the idea is that we don't always know where we're going and we don't always have all the answers but the one thing we can depend on is God. This song is a prayer to him asking for him to carry us.
I really like this song... just amazing. Too bad bands like this are completley ignored. By the way, I think the name is a reference to the Christian poem "Footsteps." (or maybe it was footprints)
