The Jazz June – Bleach In Your Eyes Lyrics
| 15 years ago
|
These are the lyrics contained in the booklet for the Breakdance Suburbia CD. However, on the 7" back sleeve, it reads:
"Explanation: The distance between slinted eyes drives action of adverse reaction to the myriads of buried glances, and the comfort in a glance. Will it take the final song to make these raged eyes open and expose the glances desired and deserved. I hope not." |

Pop Unknown – Sunday Gone Lyrics

This song appears on the Pop Unknown/Sunfactor split 7" (Release: yr3001) on the record label year 3 thousand. I believe it was released only in the UK. On the liner notes, it listed that the song was recorded in 1997; however, according to further liner notes, both songs on the split were mastered in 1999, so this release probably saw the light of day around late 1999 or 2000. No release date is seen on the packaging. |

Joan of Arc – White Out Lyrics

in the t.s. eliot poem, it's meant to symbolize that during that time, the wealthy and elite at their many parties would always be discussing topics such as michaelangelo without truly knowing or appreciating the artist, merely using it just as conversation. i think it applys to leonardo dicaprio at the time this was written in 97-98. |

in an interview with norman:
"You listen to "Back And To The Left," and that's what that song's about -- the song is about New York, and the struggle of living in New York, and loving New York."

i can't believe there hasn't been more comments on this song, i guess some are being good people and resisting the urge to donwload the couple leaked songs ;) this is my favorite so far, it really shows the growth, maturity and honesty in jesse's lyrics and their music in general. as for the seven reference, alot of things could make sense, but i immediately thought of the 7 being used in the same way the 70x7 song title, as in 7 represented infinity or the greatest number. and to expand on that, he counts up to it because he loved the girl that much. maybe thats stupid, haha. just a thought. |

i have the demo, message me.
alot of what this song about, as stated before in various posts, is what i'm going through right now with a girl. it's like, you know you're better off without her, yet you can't let go of what you had, and the girl almost seemingly knows this, and that's what can tear you apart. if that makes sense... |

this so really means a lot to me, because i'm going through it right now. it's all looking back in hindsight on a long, serious relationship. in a way i believe the love was innocent to jesse, but for me it means a little more than that. i love how he matures and realizes it at the end of the song. |

i can't believe no one commented on this song! there's so much going on in this song, and it's awesome. i love the part where he says "you wonder if you wanted to see...forever". it has to be one of the finest 11 and a half minutes in emo music! i personally think it's about a failed relationship and he's looking back on it, looking at it from the outside. regret can be a bitch :( |

i always thought this song was about how people want to look and act a certain way that celebrities do, i.e. look pretty and act cool. and also how the media just goes along with this with their coverage of the stars. |

to contribute an opinion on meaning: i think it's about being from a small town and moving to a big city, and the mixed feelings that are experienced by change. change in the general sense too |

Funeral Diner – Collapsing Lyrics

i think this song, to me, is about a relationship. it represents how comfortable you can become with someone and how there is a fear of change or letting that person go. also, how you can get trapped into a relationship with a false sense of security. |
