Metallica – Cyanide Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I'm glad he doesn't want to die. I think he should drive over to the next Chicago street, turn off the lights, and let me jump in. I think a long evening drive to nowhere would do the trick. And I bet I could have him laughing and smiling mighty fast. He woudn't have to say a word. Heck, he couldn't look any worse than he did last year when he had crud around his eyes, his hair hadn't been washed in a few days, and he said he smelled like some foreign country. He was still perfect... |
The Stone Roses – She Bangs The Drums Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Even when the ex really can't be an ex due to the 'relationship' it was, I hope the one banging those drums keeps the guy (or girl) happy for a very long time. Love, lust, and friendship combined are rare relationships...very special, especially in this period of history. May we one day find what he has apparently found :D |
Jake Bugg – Lightning Bolt Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Couldn't the lightning bolt be the beautiful, energetic, vibant youth of today who offer what others cannot. We don't get to choose who interests us. It just happens. And they can never be who we need. They simply don't have it to offer. For instance, I wish I were young and beautiful and even naive, but I'm not. I just can't be what some people want; I'm not that 'lightning bolt," and my personality even scares away some people. |
Ellie Goulding – Figure 8 Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Who did you chase? Are you friggin' nuts. Do you concoct fantasies in that big arrogant brain of yours. The only people you chase around and catch are teens. But since that floats your lil' boat, please sail away. The sex is great and you're a stud for your temporary conquest. Strut like the f*cking turkey that you are. It must feel SOOOOO good to be in a relationship because you can. |
Ellie Goulding – I Know You Care Lyrics | 11 years ago |
You really are an egotistical piece of sh*t. Did you decide to be one around the same time you concocted your calendar of deception? And how's that working for you in the long run? LOL. ALlow me to wipe my tears really quick as I ponder your success rate. |
Jim Reeves – Roly Poly Lyrics | 11 years ago |
LOL. For some it's ALL they got. WoW. Fat people don't know they're fat ;) Let's make a list of the warts belonging to others. Hmmmmmm. It may be best for those in their glass pathetic whore beds to not toss stones. Ya think. (And again, at least professional whores are bright enough to charge for their services. Must be a real bitch to not only be a whore, but a stupid whore:) |
Fiona Apple – Not About Love Lyrics | 11 years ago |
LOL. "Stay in love." reminds me of fools who have a half dozen or more "relationships" a year and actually think they've ever experienced love. Love is honest. Love is kind. Love is lasting. Thankfully the fools are too ignorant or egotistical to realize that they have (and have had) NOTHING. And soon they'll have even less when they're too old to attract a dog like themselves. LOL. "stay in love." Love is when someone knows who they are sleeping with and that every whisper in their ear is all a game...a life...a fascade to keep from being lonely. LOL "Stay in love.' How many over the last decade? Are they all beautiful outside? Young? Wild? Slightly broken? And how many know you...ALL of you? How many have you shared your TRUE self? LOL. "stayed in love." Happy Holidazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzze as you live in your world of delusion and games that will always give you the same results: you get DUMPED for others who don't play games. |
Katatonia – Dead Letters Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Fuck off. Merry Holiday. |
Katatonia – Dead Letters Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Maybe you should all be listening to Oasis and "My Big Mouth' instead of such depressing songs. One would think you don't have a significant other and aren't spending the holidays either with them in person or over the phone. LOL. Woe the depression. Don't ya know it's the new modern kind where you get kissed, have sex, whisper I love you in her ear, and then whine about how bad life is. |
The Beatles – When I Get Home Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Lovely song choice today. The story of one's life, only there has to be a relationship to be "cheating." Some people are delusional. Happy Holidays. |
Hoku – Perfect Day Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Apparently it's a perfect day spent with either a significant other or family. What a great song to enjoy on this pre-Christmas weekend. Enjoy :D (And hopefully the family likes the significant other as much as you:) |
New Order – Blue Monday Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Oh, please give this type of interpretation a rest. Often the ones complaining are the ones causing problem. And just maybe (maybe) s/he has always been in a type of "abusive relationship" and simply has no concept of an adult, "normal" (for lack of a better word) relationship. And just MAYBE someone has tired of their talk as they walk with cement shoes. Then again, they remove those shoes for a select few (a consecutive select few...a long line of select few...oh, but what a beautiful line). Yes, perhaps what's "abusive" to someone is only because s/he doesn't feel as though he can continue to easily manipulate. S/he doesn't like the feeling of not being in full control of another. And to that, I say POO ON YOU. (Oh, how abusive:) |
The Who – I've Had Enough Lyrics | 11 years ago |
"Hurt them first they'll love you." Who's the moron who wrote the lyrics? Please tell me the band borrowed some part-time, out-of-field writing team for these. |
Patrick Wolf – Brother John/The Marriage Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Ugh. Who added this track to the database. The man CANNOT sing. He may be creative, but he's not a singer. He sux as a "singer." |
Julie Andrews – Irish Carol Lyrics | 11 years ago |
LOL...according to the feed, I submitted these 22 min ago. Unless I'm losing my mind (a real possibility), I posted them this morning. Or was it yesterday? Oh well. Julie is one of the best when it comes to traditional carols. This one is so simple...the birth of Christ...preparation, faith, and humility. |
Nat King Cole – The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire) Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose, Yuletide carols being sung by a choir, And folks dressed up like Eskimos. Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe, Help to make the season bright, Tiny tots with their eyes all a-glow, Will find it hard to sleep tonight. They know that Santa's on his way He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh, And ev'ry mother's child is gonna spy, To see if reindeer really know how to fly. And so I'm offering this simple phrase, To kids from one to ninety-two, Although it's been said Many times, Many ways Merry Christmas to you. [musical interlude] And so I'm offering this simple phrase, To kids from one to ninety-two, Although it's been said Many times, Many ways Merry Christmas to you. ------ OBVIOUSLY, these just could not be the actual lyrics. OBVIOULSY these are simply lyrics that popped into my mind and DO look good on this page, even if I must say so myself (and I must say so myself:). This is my favorite Nat song (as a child especially). His soothing, romantic, warm voice is perfect for this type of song. Did not realize until I looked it up that the selling of chestnuts was a popular part of American life. Here's an interesting photo from 1905 (when my grandfather would have been a young child). They sold chestnuts on the streets of busy cities. Now it's knock-off Rolex watches. Here's to a more simple life...http://www(dot)shorpy(dot)com/node/8168 The song (and the picture) need no explanation. Love introducing they young to the holiday music of Nat and his wonderful musical counterparts of that time. |
Arctic Monkeys – Old Yellow Bricks Lyrics | 11 years ago |
People who grasp tight the same outlook, the same fears, the same game plan, the same attitude get the same ol' results. We are our own wost enemies. And although we can never go back, we can each move forward if we set our mind to it and work hard at it. Have you tossed in the towel? (Rhetorically speaking to everyone) |
Johnny Flynn – The Lady Is Risen Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I don't know what the song means being that it's so poetic and I suck at interpreting poetry, but me doth think you are being wickedly overly dramatic ;-) Perhaps the song is about choice.. yours perhaps? Listen to Bing and have a better day. Some people are too handsome, bright, and witty to wait for nothing when they're the ones wearing cement boots. |
Bing Crosby – It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Bing died in 1977. He was a true musician. It's sad that the people in charge of his legacy find it acceptable that his lyrics are all over the web, but they won't officially release them. These were on the web for all to see, and since it's one of my favorite songs (which has special meaning to me due to company arriving for the holidays), I feel like sharing. Today's musicians cannot touch the quaility of Christmas music we were blessed with from Bing, Julie, Nat, Burl, and many others of that time period. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Ev'rywhere you go Take a look in the five-and-ten, Glistening once again With candy canes and silver lanes aglow. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Toys in ev'ry store But the prettiest sight to see Is the holly that will be On your own front door. A pair of hopalong boots and a pistol that shoots Is the wish of Barney and Ben Dolls that will talk and will go for a walk Is the hope of Janice and Jen And mom and dad can hardly wait for school to start again. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Ev'rywhere you go There's a tree in the Grand Hotel, On ein the park as well The sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Soon the bells will start And the thing that will make them ring Is the carol that you sing Right within your heart. |
Andrew Bird – Darkmatter Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I'm with the guy with the exploding cat (on this). Great song. The lyrics are deep. Not familiar with the artist, but apparently I need to be... |
R.E.M. – It's the End of the World as We Know It Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Obviously metaphoric except for the Mayans. Thought this song was appropriate considering the calendar. I would have had a margarita if I were only a believer! This song is self-explanatory and already analyzed to death. It's a good song from a better band. |
Birch Book – Werewolf's eyes Lyrics | 11 years ago |
WoW. This song is lyrically gorgeous. It takes time and excellent song-writing skills to create such a masterpiece. The great musical story-tellers of our time (like Dylan, whose voice I unfortunately cannot tolerate, Cohen, and a handful of others) should be applauded for their efforts. Again, lyrically this song is just amazing. Quite self-explanatory. (I'd probably slaughter it, if I made an attempt to explain it.) Just listen to the words and the music. Again, WoW. |
Of Monsters And Men – Little Talks Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I swear I commented on this song yesterday, but where is the friggin' comment. Geesh. I LOVE this song. I love this band. Only yesterday did I finally watch the video. It's great! I love it when a band (or band menbers) are not so arrogant that they must have their actual faces be front and center. What talent this group has. The female's voice reminds me of Julia Stone's voice (of Angus and Julia Stone fame)...unique with a child-like quality. Cannot yet interpret all the lyrics, but that's OK. The song is wonderful and creatively on par with Ho Hey by the Lumineers. |
Ryan Adams – Cherry Lane Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Yes, I get it. It's about a guy who has two women/girls, or believes he has two. Isn't this the same dude who sings Summer of 69? Surprise surprise. No biggy here. But enough to send me to bed with some great piano music "singing" me to sleep. Thank God for white wine, contemporary piano, warm furry mammals, and a few hours before another long day. |
Imagine Dragons – It's Time Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Blah |
Calvin Harris – I'm Not Alone Lyrics | 11 years ago |
You've had too much holiday eggnog, I think :-) Good try, but you fell short with your interpretation. Who has been repeatedly led on? And who will be fine and out the door in a few months wanting the company of certain types? Hmmmmmm. Yup, too much SPIKED eggnog. Forgive me if I don't wish to share in the holiday punch... |
Dead Kennedys – Kill The Poor Lyrics | 11 years ago |
These types of songs filled with prejudicial rhetoric are a hoot. Love the band, though, even if they're obviously not the sharpest tools in the shed, as the saying goes. If you want the truth about taxes and who is paying them, check out taxfoundation(dot)org. Govt. stats are provided, even if the envious don't wish to hear the truth. Lots of bigotry in this country, and apparently class bigotry is big. If people wish to have what others have, perhaps they should make better choices in life. Can't pick the parents who give birth to us so some of us start out on better footing. It's up to us to rise above and EARN what we want (and obviously don't want others to have). Pathetic lyrics, but a great band! |
Of Monsters And Men – Little Talks Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Luv Luv Luv this song! Had been trying for two weeks to recall the artist. It's just an amazing song. It's creativity reminds me of the Lumineer's newest hit Ho Hey. Very creative lyrically but especially musically. |
Nicki Minaj – Starships Lyrics | 11 years ago |
What the heck is "refly." LOL...RETRY. |
Nicki Minaj – Starships Lyrics | 11 years ago |
NOW I can refly. This song is high energy. It's what I love to hear when leaving work exhausted each day. It makes my tired mind and body feel like taking a cold shower and then hitting the dance floor. It's an invigorating song. One day I will dance to this; it's a goal. And thy will shall be done! |
Nicki Minaj – Starships Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Aren't these the correct lyrics? I tried to edit the lyrics, but my idea was poo-pooed through the system. Red one Let’s go to the beach, each Let’s go get away They say, what they gonna say? Have a drink, clink, found the Bud Light Bad bitches like me, is hard to come by The Patrón, own, let’s go get it on The zone, own, yes I’m in the zone Is it two, three, leave a good tip I’ma blow all my money and don’t give two shits I’m on the floor, floor I love to dance So give me more, more, ‘Til I can’t stand Get on the floor, floor Like it’s your last chance If you want more, more Then here I am Starships were meant to fly Hands up and touch the sky Can’t stop ‘cause we’re so high Let’s do this one more time Starships were meant to fly Hands up and touch the sky Let’s do this one last time Can't stop... (We’re higher than a motherfucker) [x3] |
Nicki Minaj – Starships Lyrics | 11 years ago |
OK, why after a lyrics search online does it say that the song I want is called Starships (when the lyrics are different). I am exhausted from work so it may be me, but I don't think so. Ugh. |
Nicki Minaj – Starships Lyrics | 11 years ago |
OK, how did I goof. I thought her hit was entitled Starships. My favorite line is "Starships are meant to fly..." I am sooooo confused. This not B the song, dangit! |
Radiohead – Creep Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Who are these creeps who give me negative feedback? Geesh! |

Who are these creeps who give me negative feedback? Geesh! |
Radiohead – Creep Lyrics | 11 years ago |
No way, Jose. Didn't Al Gore invent it a few years earlier? I bought my first PC in 1991. It cost $1,400 and lasted just three years. I seem to recall looking at chat rooms back then (and blushing:). Both the band and the song are great...very creative. I do believe from time-to-time I've been called a creep, a troll, and few other choice words. This song is easy for each of us to identify with, which is what makes it a great song. |
Goldfrapp – Beautiful Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Of course it is, but at least it's about sex between a man and a girl in a relationship. Gotta give him credit for that. Enjoy! |
Fear Factory – Manipulation Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I know this person. Oh, wait. 2006 was before my time. Look over there, a spotted leopard ;) |
Imagine Dragons – Radioactive Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Before I head to bed, let me just say that to me this song is about someone who will be heading to the club tonight with her boy/girlfriend, as she does every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (if not to the person's home). Seems to me all the ash and dust is not consistent with the life she is leading, but I suppose what's another year of swallowing sh*t. NOT. As for the rust, I think it's what the other person has accumulated after so much time. He needs to find himself someone to polish him up nice and shiny...if he weren't so tried from work each night. Ah, he'll have to make time... |
Imagine Dragons – It's Time Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I really must say I am not surprised with your interpretation. You just don't appear to get it. |
Imagine Dragons – It's Time Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Curious: how did you treat those people? Did you include them in your REAL life? Did you lie to them about something similar for not days, weeks, or months; rather, for years? Did you pick others over them repeatedly? Are you still absent, but yet not absent from the lives of others? Could you perhaps be trying to use people for your own selfish wants/needs? And most importantly, do you not change because it's difficult and risky or because you actually love the payoff you currently get (and have been perhaps getting for years)? I'm sorry. I'm just curious. You brought up some interesting sentiment that seemed relevant. |
Owl City – The Saltwater Room Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Two in a "relationship." Not in love "romantically" anymore. Wants to be "with her all the time." He "just can't feel it." They feel they "never get enough time together." Define "relationship." They were in love romantically? Define "with her." Feel what? They have time together? I'm just trying to grasp your interpretation. It seems so foreign to me, although I've heard just two or three songs by the band and the band is not my favorite. I doubt it will make sense to me in a few months, but that's OK 'cause so many other interpretations DO/WILL make sense. Could have something to do with my old age and less-than-average looks, or perhaps I'm just plain stupid. I have been known to play the fool for years on end. |
Jeff Buckley – Lover, You Should've Come Over Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I first heard this song 3.5 years ago. It's all that's left. It's all because of choice. The song is excellent and the artist even better, but the song itself is mere verbiage....hollow and w/o much meaning. All talk. No action. And apparently acceptable. I'm tied of scraps. I'm tired. |
Joanna Newsom – Kingfisher Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Unbelieveable! Excellent! Bravo! Of course I don't know you, but I can only imagine how you can be yourself and speak like this face-to-face. I once knew a woman who could talk like this hidden in her home behind a computer screen or when she was putting on aires in front of impressional young minds and hearts, but she was unable to just be herself (all her brains and beauty and talent...and warts) and give of her many gifts face-to-face. She caged herself and over the years fell into an easy routine that gave her the same temporary payoffs. And she settled. She gave up her fire, her desire, her grit, her goals, her strength..and for what? Again, kudos to you for eloquent and thoughtful interpretation. I wish you were the person I knew..the one that was allowed to be buried under games and fraud for far too long. |
Coheed and Cambria – The Willing Well I: Fuel for the Feeding End Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Vyrla, you handle depression and loneliness wonderfully. Kudos to you for your ability to be in the acutal life of those you choose. Thank you for introducing this band and Bryan Adams to me. I'd say cheer up, but it appears you've never been down. LOL. Have a great musical day, everyone. I'm outta here... |
Glen Hansard & Markéta Irglová – Drown Out Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Even back then you justified all your bad choices. No growth. No change in how many years? And the same damn results, but hey...you're happy with them. So continue to go for it, but stop asking for anyone else to keep you company. Have to wonder just how happy you really are. I guess you never stopped to consider that. So much for genius, Rainman. |
Rush – The Spirit Of Radio Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I would be curious to know if the singer was paid to relinquish his voice OR if he gave it away for free. I suppose the only one tonight who will listen to him sing his two step is the unsuspecting, albeit beautiful, listener. May s/he enjoy the repertoire. Me, I'll save my song for those in my REAL life. |
Deee-Lite – Groove Is In The Heart Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Luv it. Luv it. Luv it. Just watched a re run of How I Met Your Mother. In it, Barney and Robin dance to this song at a wedding. Great beat. Great dance track. Not sure how I missed thissong or the episode, but check out the song on Youtube if you missed it, too. |
Sixx: A.M. – Sure Feels Right Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I'm actually smiling for you, Brazil. I'm happy you're happy. It's better than two being miserable when life is too short to dwell. Good luck to you... |
