My favourite song from the EP. Haunting and so moving. Hard to believe there's no comments on it. I'm not sure what it's about, apart from maybe time being a straight line, and you being pre-destined to do what you do. The song always fills me with a sadness for some reason though. |

I´ll say it right here right now, and this will hold true until the day my spirit leaves my body. This is the greatest song I have ever heard and will ever hear. It´s such an abstract song lyrically, I won´t even try to interprate it, but The lyrics speak to a part of me that is beyond my comprehension yet understands the words perfectly. The music makes me lose myself within the song. Then the backing vocals, and the subtle yet haunting "oohs" kick in and brings the song to an amazing crushendo. |

Best song on the new album by a country mile for me. Has everything that I think of when I think of the Chili Peppers. Great vocal harmonies, catchy guitar riff, and an all round catchy song. Like the other comments, I think it's about the loss of someone in your life, like breaking up with someone. |

John to me sounds near dead on this song, but no less passionate, or no less of a genius. If anything, listening to the whole album (smile from the streets you hold) is like looking into the soul of a man who has lost it all and is ready to die, but still oozes genius. |

I think he could have put this on the main album, as opposed to only the Japanese version as a bonus. I´d have put it in between Before the Beginning and Song to the Siren. It seems to make sense to me there. |

This was the "extra" track for the Japanese version of Shadows. I personally think it has more of a Will To Death Feel to it. However whenever I hear it, it almost brings me to tears, the sheer emotion, the passion that is portrayed in the song. |

Serendipity (as a humanisation), is the "Angel" of inspiration. Thus, in this summer he had with this wonderful woman, it was like he was totally inspired. But the song has a sad undertone, as he loses the woman, and is left to reminisce. |
