A misanthrope's misanthrope who loves hockey, music, horror, top ten lists, reading, and American food. I'm also a pretentious Libertarian.
| The Mighty Mighty Bosstones – Bronzing The Garbage Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Great song, but I always felt the chorus slowed it down. | |
| They Might Be Giants – Kiss Me, Son Of God Lyrics | 14 years ago |

Except... not at all... It could work for either Teddy Roosevelt, W, FDR, Wilson, Obama, or Nixon. Not really seeing Reagan here. But I guess it was cooler to poke fun at Reagan than the progressives I mentioned above, eh? |

| The Strokes – Two Kinds Of Happiness Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Bought Angles the day it came out and this song instantly became one of my favorite songs by The Strokes. | |
| Bruce Springsteen – Maria's Bed Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Seriously, no comments on this song? This is easily one of my favorite Springsteen songs. What's not to love about this one? | |
| The Strokes – Red Light Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| One of my favorite songs by The Strokes, everything works perfectly in this one. Just an amazing song. Sometimes I wonder how and who picks singles for songs... they never seem to pick the ones I love hahaha. | |
| The Strokes – On The Other Side Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I can't believe all the negative comments with people saying they hate this song, or it's their least favorite Strokes song. It's by far one of my favorite songs by them. Something about it reminds me of NYC... it makes me homesick. Though most of their songs remind me of NYC haha. I can't wait to move back home. | |
| Ramones – Merry Christmas (I Don't Want To Fight Tonight) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Joey wrote it. | |
| Ramones – Merry Christmas (I Don't Want To Fight Tonight) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Joey actually loved Christmas. His mother viewed Hanukkah as a Jewish holliday, and Christmas as an "American" holiday, so they celebrated both. Joey actually held Christmas parties in NYC every year until he died. Like I said, he LOVED Christmas lol. | |
| Rilo Kiley – 85 Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| People seem to think that because Jenny is singing this, then it is sung from a woman's perspective. Or even that she wrote it, or that it is from her own personal experience. We all clearly know that this song is about love gone sour, but I think it's a story of a man. And since anyone can tell a story, Jenny is doing so. Besides, if '85 was their best year, it's clearly not about Jenny Lewis lol. Don't interpret everything so literally. | |
| OK Go – This Too Shall Pass Lyrics | 15 years ago |

LOL WUT? Yeah I don't see any lyrics discussing how a socialist/communist agenda has never and will never work, or that Obama is just like Bush, except his big government comes from the "left" as opposed to the "right". Soooo probably not. |
|
| Misfits – Night of the Living Dead Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| It's "stumbling somnambulism" not stumble in some ambulance... Just sayin'. | |
| Camera Obscura – The Sweetest Thing Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| What did she do to her voice on this record? It's not terrible, at least not on this song, but I prefer it on the other records. It almost sounds like she's singing from her throat... | |
| Camera Obscura – Keep It Clean Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| My mistake. I just realized I had two pages up when I left that comment. The lyrics seem right here lol. Sorry about that! | |
| Camera Obscura – Keep It Clean Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Many of the lyrics are wrong here. Why post lyrics if you're unsure? | |
| Ramones – Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| LOL Americans don't understand punk? That makes complete sense. I guess the Ramones didn't understand it? Anyway, those statements are as ignorant as they are laughable. I'm sure it's such a hard fucking life in the UK lol. You know, having the government take care of your lazy asses and all? Yeah everyone in the States has it sooooo easy. We work. We survive at all costs. Stupid limeys. | |
| The Submarines – You, Me & The Bourgeoisie Lyrics | 15 years ago |

LOL @ communism. Oops, my comment may not be cool enough for you... |

| Blue Öyster Cult – Don't Fear The Reaper Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| To everyone that took Buck Dharma's words the wrong way. He chose his words carefully: "I was actually kind of appalled when I first realized that some people were seeing it as an advertisement for suicide or something. That was not my intention at all." That doesn't mean the song ISN'T about suicide, and he never said it isn't. It's just not an ADVERTISEMENT for suicide - which I totally agree with. I also completely believe him when he says DFTR is a love song. It's about two people, in love, that make a suicide pact. So he wasn't PROMOTING suicide, but he did write a song about it. | |

I love reading the crap people throw out on here lol. From what I've read, no one has mentioned anything about WHERE they've read/heard "this, or that." No sources, nothing. Just a bunch of "how could it be about Isobel", or "it is about Isobel!!!" I can also tell that most of you don't understand song writing. Not that I'm a song writer by any means, but I do understand that many songs are not written to be obvious. Now... I have heard Stuart deny this song, and many others to be about Isobel. Including "I'm Waking Up To Us", which I've heard bandmates say IS about her. I, for one, believe this song IS about her. |

| Ramones – Palisades Park Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| One more thing... they don't say "you'll never know how good it just can feel". That doesn't even make sense! They sing "You never know how good a kiss can feel." | |
| Ramones – Palisades Park Lyrics | 15 years ago |

The lyrics are wrong. Someone seems to think the Ramones tried to put their own twist on this song to make it edgy - this is not the case. Nowhere in the song is there mention of a girl puking. Nor do they say my arms were flying. They do, however, sing about a girl being CUTE, and their heart flying up... Someone should correct this. Oh yeah, and it's a great cover! |

| Ramones – Somebody Put Something In My Drink Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Don't listen to the people saying this was Johnny's song (he barely contributed with writing). This was written by Richie Ramone about something that happened to him one night while he was out drinking with Joey (and maybe Dee Dee). Mickey Leigh even writes about it in his book. | |
