Yeah, this is probably a better overall song than "Magnifishit", but I just can't make sense of it's meaning.... except for perhaps a hint of a World-Wide financial disaster.... ? |

the first 2 words of the song's lyrics explain the meaning : it's (a dream) with no real logic or meaning.... it's just Ogre playing with combinations of words for great effect and disjointed imagery. how the first poster above came to that "story" conclusion, is a total mystery to me.... |

this is one of the few SP songs that i can't figure out meaning-wise. the Evil Dead voice samples are for effect and theme, but i suspect they have little to do with the lyrical meaning..... a real puzzle. |

i think the song is describing the Iraq War from the solider's point-of-view --- and yeah, the title is an OBVIOUS reference to GW Bush as well. |

Another incredible song by the most intelligent band...ever. Tin Omen is about BOTH Kent State and Tiannanmen Square. Look them up if you aren't familiar with those two events in history. |

Oh, and this song simply cannot be explained or defined. It's true meaning is the mental imagery you get personally when you read the lyrics while listening to the song. But, if I had to choose a song meaning for it, it would be "drug overdose". |

What an amazing opening track to an equally amazing album. There will simply NEVER be another song like this or another album like "Too Dark Park". Skinny Puppy was definitely at their creative peak with "Too Dark Park". No matter how many times I hear "Convulsion" i never get tired of it. |

| Skinny Puppy – Reclamation Lyrics

|
This (mostly) instrumental song has some lyrics, but they are completely unintelligible as far as i'm concerned. Which is OK, because the song's title "Reclamation", given the theme of "Too Dark Park" would suggest that this song is the sound of the Earth taking it's revenge on what man has done to it. |

yes, this song ( and most of the album "Too Dark Park", for that matter ) seems to be about man polluting the environment and abusing it's natural resources. This song relates the idea of hidden energies and beings being related to this abuse... like ghosts, spectres or demons that are watching what man is doing to the environment from within. |

there are several themes in this song. the first explains man's abuse of nature and animals. the second is man's abuse of language and theory. the third is man's abuse of drugs and how horrible it is. yes, even though Ogre was abusing drugs, he saw how bad it was.... what an incredilbe band. i wish they still wrote songs / albums like "Too Dark Park" nowadays... they are OK in 2007, but they've really lost that "magical" touch with the lyrics and music. |

this is my least favorite track on "Too Dark Park", but it's still a good / important song. i personally don't like the instrumentation, the sharp noises in the background and the more-than-usual off-key sound of the vocals. the meaning of the song is a description of the apocalypse and the end of everything. SP is an incredible band that i still haven't found a replacement for.... ( well, you know, that's because they aren't as good in 2007 as they were in the early 1990s. ) |

yes, this is an incredible song. i honestly feel that SP is a band whose importance on the world of music is comparable to The Beatles, but hardly anyone will ever realize that because most people can't get past the hard-to-understand lyrics and the industrial musical style. What a shame because "Too Dark Park" is an incredibly amazing album that NEVER gets old ONCE YOU LEARN THE LYRICS. COME ON PEOPLE - LEARN, READ AND REALIZE !!! |

oh, and i forgot to say this is a f***ing amazing song by a band that as of 2007 just isn't as good as they were in the 1990s. they were the most incredible band in the world at that time, and yet very few people know about them or understand them.... what a shame.... i would honestly compare their importance to that of the Beatles. -- dont laugh, it's really true if you listen to SP very closely and read ALL of their lyrics. just an amazing amazing band. incredible lyrics and true "artists". too bad they aren't what they used to be anymore. |

I think this song is about married life, and how one person ends up wanting to kill the other. Guilt, anger, fear, arguments... this kind of relationship in the framework of this song can also be attributed to our destroying of the Earth as the person above this comment has stated... |

This song is obviously from the viewpoint of the lab animal being dissected, cut into and probed - and the horror it feels as it's happening. The lyrics are strange words that a non-human would use to describe the strange things that are being done to it in a lab. |

| Electric Wizard – Saturn's Children Lyrics
| 20 years ago
|
|
This song is about the Children of Saturn (the planet that is supposed to have a negative influence on humans) rising up and becoming aware of their true nature which is to fight against the "Iron Cross". This is a different way of looking at the Cross Of Christianity as an iron-clad ruling dictatorship that the free-thinking peoples are fighting against. This is pure poetic license. Christianity itself is not bad, but how it has been perverted (or become an "iron cross", or "unforgiving", which IS against the true nature of what Christianity is supposed to be) is what Saturn's Children are fighting against in this song. The vocalist is saying "Turn Off Your Mind, THere's Nothing To Find, Nothing to Find Out Here" is a way of saying, you have been lied to, and have been labeled as Children Of Negativity, when in fact you are just fighting against oppression, or the Iron Cross (the sub-text of which is to suggest Nazism). Get it ?? |

This song is about the Earth being a dead planet, full of zombies and mental slaves. The lyric "No Reason To Live, Dead In The Womb" describes this concept perfectly. Haven't you ever felt like the Earth has already become a Funeralopolis? Only the disillusioned or severly stupid would disagree. |

at first i hated this song, but now i feel like it's one of Black Sabbath's best pop-metal tracks. i always think of the phrase "forget your problems that don't even exist" ..... that is great advice. i mean, we all live our lives and we all have problems, but just letting them go is the best way to deal with life...... so, in my opinion, the message of this song is : ENJOY YOUR LIFE AND "THE THRILL OF IT ALL". |

Any stupid idiots that think Cannibal Corpse are a good band should be listening to Electric Wizard instead. PERIOD. The lyrics for this song are infantile and stupid. "kaisute" has the correct lyrics posted here, read that post FIRST before commenting on this song. I think "You" is about a guy being infatuated with a girl, but he sees the whole world going up in flames. To me, this means that while the girl is "the sun and moon and stars", the destruction of the world is more immediate and ultimately more important than being infatuated with her. |

| Black Sabbath – Hole In The Sky Lyrics

I think this song is about watching T.V. and the different things you see on it. Television is being described here as a "hole in the sky that you fly through" or how you seem to fly through it to the parts of the world you are viewing on it. Re-read the lyrics with this in mind and see if it doesn't make more sense. Sitting in a room without any view. Seeing nowhere through the eyes of a lie. Get It ? |

| Electric Wizard – Eko Eko Azarak: I. Invocation II. Ritual Lyrics

This song borrows SOME of it's incantation lyrics from a Japanese Horror film. I don't remember the title of the film, but the lyrics "Eko Eko Azarak" and others from the chanting part are borrowed directly from it. Overall, I see this song is just an opening incantation-jam to the "We Live" album. |
