Your Autonomic nervous system is the part of your brain that does everything without your conscious consent (i.e.- digestion, heart rate, sweating ect.) I would argue that "lose control of my autonomic mind" is meaning that the drugs he's been taking have physical side-effects that he can't control.
Honestly, it sounds like this song is about Jonny. "feed into the miracle...cynical" is about when he came back for DBM2. People thought he couldn't kick his drug addiction and fans called them cynical. Jon's second verse seemingly describes Jonny's writing style too. |

I feel like you could be right. But I think it might be purposefully vague to fit a larger picture. People are always gonna tell you what you should be thinking i.e.- "words of wisdom that you need to hear" and people are always gonna try to take advantage of you i.e.- "guilt in the form of dollars". I think the "Keep my fingers crossed" bit though is more about how the speaker thinks about himself. They want to get passed all the bullshit whatever it may be and find somewhere they belong. |

From my understanding, this song seems to be about knowing someone who's stuck on something instead of growing up and moving on. More specifically, I interpret this something as being drugs. This someone used to be a hard worker who used occasionally but now their life is consumed by it. "That's the only place you seem to be" refers to the line "Stay up high away from the floor" which to me translates as someone just being high all the time. That's just my interpretation though. |

I'm not feeling that at all. Assuming this song is like a lot of other DGD songs where the clean vocals and dirty vocals are about different things. Tillians part for me speaks about a person who is dishonest and selfish in relationships. Doing it just for his ego and probably treating women like meat (Tillian's verse). Then at the end he realizes that he'll die alone because of it. The gun in his hand is metaphorical for the decisions he's made. The "acceptance speech" is accepting your mistakes and the realization of the consequences you've made. |

I'm pretty sure the line goes: "There's only room on this rescue boat for butchers and bankers, and men without hope"
I don't know why a baker would be on the boat, but bankers are usually seen as corrupt and i think is more fitting. |

What your jesus hugging ass (wacky) is forgetting is that the whole song uses a stage show as a metaphor for life. Referencing some sort of performance quite a 'bit. Indicating that maybe he believes that all of religion is just a charade. with a bad script. He's losing faith. "if only there were hope for our souls" i.e.- there isn't anymore because he's seen beyond these walls. Walls being walls of the church. How the bible and the church shelters you from the truth. |
