| Prong – Beg To Differ Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I personally know Jeff, who wrote this song. He says he wrote it after his father died of lung cancer and it left him angry at a lot of things. That is also why he does not smoke cigarettes. | |

Little advice to 'canarycriedkaye'. Don't say what you think is fact, it is NOT a fact that her brother (deceased) was sexually abusive. You honestly make me embarrassed to call myself human, pretending to sound intelligent / wise whilst attempting to back it up with even worse reasons. I want to keep this beautiful website to those who actually have something positive / important to say, not BS rumors / hearsay. This site was made to open people up with thoughts and emotions, not to get stuck on the (false, mind you) perception of actions. Anyways... It's obvious they are trying to convey the message of pain and abandonment. Since Bianca studied linguistics and Sociology it really gives her an edge in her lyrics. Everyone. Everyone deals with covering up pain on a daily basis, this song just makes you remember that you are. Peace. -Todd |

| Band of Horses – The Funeral Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I read the entire thing. Half of what you wrote you STOLE from peoples posts on this EXACT page. Schneidawg: "I love the double meaning "morning to wake you." This line calls to mind the terms "mourning" and "wake" (both of which are strongly associated with funerals), making the line pack a much greater punch." Alternation: "i think the song isn't lamenting over how you're ready to accept your loved ones' deaths. rather, i think it addresses the fact that we can't control our own death and when it happens, and that it is inevitable to all of us. i think it's a song about realizing your own death and being comfortable with the fact that death is imminent and can happen at any age and place. it sounds as if the singer has done all he has in life, and is ready to face death whenever it chooses to appear. it has a joyous approach to death somewhat, as if death is the process of being liberated. also, the song brings up points about family members when he mentions the "dead leaves" and the "tree." think of it as a family tree, where our own dead relatives may be dead, but their hearts live on in the rest of the family, just as the dead leaves are alone as they have fallen down from the proverbial "family tree."" Sounds like this guy just repackaged what these guys wrote. |

| Arcade Fire – Crown of Love Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I think you are right. A week ago I met this amazing girl and I instantaneously fell in love. I am now just realizing how immature I am about this. You made me realize that when you "fall in love" most likely it will not last forever so don't make it so serious and dramatic. You may have saved my life, I was going crazy without her because I thought she was the one. I might still be a little in denial but this opened my eyes. Thank you. | |
| The Human Abstract – Patterns Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| "we're all lost, what's the point of these patterns?" Most meaningful phrase of lyricism i have seen in this entire album. Good Game, The human Abstract. Best band by far these days. | |
| The Human Abstract – Channel Detritus Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Just when i thought The Human Abstract couldn't get any deeper. "Fools regret until they die, Forgive yourself back to life" The most meaningful words i think i have ever heard. This song is about living your entire life without worrying about consequences or regretting anything. The only time to regret is on your death bed never waste your life over-analyzing your choices in life. Instead of regretting what you have done, forgive yourself and continue on with your life ("Forgive yourself back to life") Best band I've ever heard, hands down. | |
| Tears for Fears – Memories Fade Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| First time i heard this song i cried. It's so painful to listen to this song after a serious relationship but also helps you get through it. TFF you saved my life before i was even born. | |
| Metallica – Blackened Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
It's about his mom dying of lung cancer beacuse she smoked cigarettes. "Smouldering Decay Take Her Breath Away" "Deadly Nicotine Kills What Might Have Been" Why do you think it's called blackened? Because its the color of smoker's lungs. |

This song gets stuck in my head every day. Get it on your mp3 player go outside on a sunny day play that shit walk around with repeat on (preferably in neighborhoods so you can see people and make up stories in your head about them based on the song. Sounds strange but it's pretty fun) be like Charlie sheen and just fucking WIN the day |

| The Bravery – I Have Seen The Future Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Soma Holiday is a term from the book "Brave New World" By Aldous Huxley. It's when people overdose (take too many) on a drug called "Soma" making them hallucinate for any period between 1 day to a week. In this book people have no feelings, emotions, or morals. it's all twisted by the Government that alters people mentally and physically, genetically and psychologically. This is the reality for our world if we all choose happiness over TRUTH. it's a scary book because it's all coming true. | |
