| Yeah, Aaronbrown was pretty much right on with that. Wont deny he's a jerk though, lol. | |

| That's pretty much what I got from it. It's pretty straight forward, and there may be some hidden personal meaning, but the story is basically how you said. | |

| I must be too because I totally agree with you. | |

| That pretty much sums it up! | |

| I interpreted that line as meaning we make up mythical beings to explain what we can't control. "What happened to wonder?" Why must we have an explanation for everything we don't yet understand? and the previous line, "Quick! give him a name, a trident, and a chair" is obviously referring to Poseidon. Anyway, my point is that I believe that line is definitely an atheist point of view, but I don't think this is a pro-atheist song.. | |

This is one of my favorites! I disagree that it's about a relationship though. I believe this song is about a guy that wants to be with his best friend but she's in a relationship/marriage with someone else. Reason being is because of the verse: "Stand still in my sight, a switch got hit somewhere back in my mind Just then I realized there what I have to do, because I couldn't stand to look at you across another crowded room and know that you would not be mine" I could just be reading into it too much and trying to relate it to my own life.. Opinion would be greatly appreciated! =D |

codynuss, I couldn't agree more. Like literally, you took the words straight from my thoughts! I'm so glad that Tom Gabel has moved on and grown up! Unlike some other bands... (Sum 41, ahem!) It just goes to show how much talent he has now, and has always had, to bring to the music world. Great song by the way. Great album as well. "But before you point your finger Before you cast your stones Take a look at yourself How can you expect from someone What you won't do yourself" I love these lyrics, best "fuck you" in a song, ever! |

Yes, apparently. I absolutely love this song. I'm surprised there isn't more comments (or the correct lyrics....) for it. I think it is about moving on and not living in the past. Considering Tom now lives in St. Augustine, Florida gives him a sort of nostalgic feeling. Make sense? I think so... =D "Look into the Spanish moss Let your mind conjure up old ghosts Ride your bike through lost Florida streets Everything we've said and done Can be so easily forgotten You can always change who you are" |
