Fall Out Boy – The Mighty Fall Lyrics 11 years ago
I feel like this is about a relationship where he knows it's unhealthy and she's a Hollywood type of girl (Bel Air, pout pout). Always drinking and never staying sober for long (falling down the 12 steps), but he can't stay away even when he knows it's not good for either of them, so the mighty fall (in love).

He refers to her crooked love being like a pyramid scheme, which are usually to get rich quickly, but it could mean to get famous quickly for her. He admits that she'll never come clean and he just continues to fall for her.

Fall Out Boy – Where Did the Party Go Lyrics 11 years ago
I think this song is about all their fans, and fans of rock music in general moving on or growing up, probably even referring to their days in the Midwest before they made it big. They come back into the music scene and things have changed and no one's left, so their old party is gone.

The bridge talking about kids screaming "We weren't the same!" is talking about the types of people they played for, the kids who felt lost and related to their music. The silent film stars referring to the kids who grew up and now have to live in the real world and force themselves to fit in.

Spring Awakening – Those You've Known Lyrics 15 years ago
I think that the shadows bring the starlight is like you can't have the stars, which are bright and beautiful, without the darkness. The darkness and shadows just prove that there is more to come and it can be beautiful as well.

Anthony Rapp – Always Lyrics 15 years ago
It would make sense, since his mother died of cancer. I feel like it probably would be about his mother for him.

Idina Menzel – Gorgeous Lyrics 15 years ago
So at first, I thought this was just about living in a crazy world and they're still gorgeous as a couple even through the chaos, but another thought came to mind. After they had gotten married they were threatened because of being an interracial couple, and I thought it could be about that too. Like, she sings "When all of the beauty turns to pain, when all of the madness falls like rain." They are a beautiful couple and they're in love, so that in and of itself is beautiful, but it becomes painful because people can't look past their differences. She still sees that they'll be gorgeous even when others don't understand though.

Anyways, 2 different thoughts. Either way, I love the song.

Bon Jovi – Hey God Lyrics 16 years ago
I love the way you said that. Sure he's mad at God, but he's still talking to Him. Instead of losing all his faith, he's just directing his anger towards God and I feel like it's better to acknowledge God and be angry than to lose faith completely. You can't be angry with God if you don't believe in Him.

Bread – Aubrey Lyrics 16 years ago
Yeah I get Aubs a lot, but also Aubey. I got Aubers as a kid.
I like it too, except when I go to Starbucks and I get weird spellings, pronunciations, or they just screw it up and call me Archy.

Bread – Aubrey Lyrics 16 years ago
My parents did the same. They were both young when the song first came out and now, here I am, Aubrey.

I've been called Aubrey Bobrey too by the way. :)

Thriving Ivory – Hey Lady Lyrics 16 years ago
To me this verse is like her just making sure the relationship's still alive and not so much herself. It's a metaphor for checking to see if the relationship is still alive and if it's not it can be fixed somehow, which would be why the hospital's not far. It's like the solution's not far, but she needs to see it for herself. That's just my opinion though.

Keith Urban – Used To The Pain Lyrics 17 years ago
I think it's about someone who has been hurt by someone in the past and they're afraid to fall in love again because they don't want to deal with the pain again. He's trying to tell this person that even though it's "hard holding on, and even harder trying to let it go" it will get easier to give into love as he/she gets used to the pain. This is one of my favorites from such a talented artist.
