Beautiful song. It sounds like hes singing about someone he loves more than anything and how she makes him feel, but it also has a hint of sadness that makes it sound that they cant be together for whatever reason. Just my take on it anyway. |

Chino69 pretty much said everything i was going to say. The only lines you missed out on are these: "its authentic, apocalyptic destroyer damaging challengers -- resurrection, disorder a monument of crisis - eye strikes this - your dead line my nest with your soul -- cleansed in bloodshed" These lines are particularly important. Note how she says "apocalyptic". Basicaly shes talking about the revelation of the truth to humankind. "the lifting of the veil" And will "resurrect" an army of the enlightened. -Long story short, this apocolypse will bring a war -revelation at the end of the age- and will bring destruction upon those unworthy of the humain race. I dont think this song is about hating someone else (an ex, celebrities, that fake popular girl at your school.) No this song sings of hatred much more powerful than something you could ever feel for another. Its definatley about self-hatered. (" Have you no shame? Don't you see me? You know you've got everybody fooled") The entire song is self-directed. She knows shes fake and she hates herself. (Ps. watch the music video you'll know what i mean....) |

Davey sounds like he's reminicing about the good times he had when there wasnt so much commercial pressure on the band "Nothing could touch us then No one could change us then" And about not wanting to let go "Time was so tangible i'll never let it go, i fell into yesterday" just my take on it... oh ... did i mention that this is amazing song? |

Reading the comments and supposed 'arguments' left from those on both sides has really disgusted me. As I listen to both Marilyn manson and My chemical romance music im not here to bitch about who's side im on, merely to get across a very simple point called fuck.the.haters. Marilyn manson's music is better than MCR! NO MCR is way better than Manson! Gerad way is hotter! Manson is hoter! Manson is a poser! Gerad is a poser! Blah blah blah blah blah Dont like manson? Dont like MCR? Too damn bad. Shut the hell up, no one gives a shit. Yes, everyone's entitled to thier own opinion, but there is a difference between opinion and making stuff up because you can and have nothing beter to do. Think manson's a sellout? Yeah, thats really a profound argument, seeing as evolution is one of the essential parts of writing albums. Now, for all you MCR hater out there, screw you. Its so simple, if you like the band great .If you dont, listen to something else and do us all a favor and quit whining. Manson can say whatever he wants about the music scene and other bands, including MCR. Yes, many bands are becoming "less bold" as Manson claims. As is the way of the music industry, the only way to be sure of a profit is to take minimal risks and fit into the 'scene'. Of course this is not justifiable, but its the way of the usic industry and always will be. However, writing a song, even if well written, lyrically, simply to bash My chemical romance is very childish and unneccessary, but honestly is it really worth all these melodramatics? this song is so beautiful and sad but i love it!.I think its about him remebering a girl who he was friends with and they had fun together and he fell in love with her. the problem is she is depressed and dosent feel that life is worth it anymore. he is relizing that she is changing and is missing the girl he used to know. i LOVE this song! I think that the song is about the death of a relationship..not a person even though it almost sounds like it a parts..you could argue eigher way. The first verse"Hello there, the angel from my nightmare the shadow in the background of the morgue the unsuspecting victim of darkness in the valley we can live like Jack and Sally if we want where you can always find me we'll have Halloween on Christmas and in the night we'll wish this never ends we'll wish this never ends" i think means that he is remembering what it used to be like with her and is missing her and wishes he could go back to that and it would never end. i think the second verse is that hes thinking about her and wondering if she's happy and ever regretted the break up and is wishing he could could talk to her again..even though in the back of his mind he knows he can't. I agree with Regos..i think the last verse is about him feeling hurt and betrayed by the break up but he still feelslike he needs her somehow Anyways thats just how i interpret it:P |
