| The Fray – Uncertainty Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| so... these lyrics are wrong when it comes to the album version, i don't know where these lyrics on here came from, because there's an entire verse missing, and in the end it's not 'she's' but 'i'm' | |
| Statistics – No Promises Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| you're definitely not alone on that one. | |
| Cool Hand Luke – Eye of the Storm Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
such a beautiful song, even if you haven't lost some one dear to you, it makes you stop and think about how you're handling the relationships with the people you love, if you're really giving them your attention when they need it, if you're really showing your love, if you're really saying all you can say to them - if you won't be left with a million important things to say to them if they're taken in a split second. |

| Kelsey Wild – Lightning Lyrics | 17 years ago |

there's some faint phrases missing here and there, such as after "you might make it back in time" at least i hear a light "look up" afterwards.. |
|
| Iron & Wine – Passing Afternoon Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
to me, this song gives me a feeling of a mother after her children are grown, and how all the memories are there but you can't go back and be within those times again. we all grow.. time passes.. to me, it's a look inside a mother's heart. |

| The Format – Wait, Wait, Wait Lyrics | 18 years ago |

acoustic version = soo great. i'm finding i like the acoustic or demo versions of a lot of their songs much better. i'd definitely suggest listening to the acoustic version of 'the compromise' too. |

| Maroon 5 – Nothing Lasts Forever Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| i think its 'the misbehaving only makes' | |
| The Honorary Title – Everything I Once Had (EP version) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| & the more i let the extra verse sink in.. the more i cannot understand why you would take out such a amazing section of a song. | |
| The Honorary Title – Everything I Once Had (EP version) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
i definitely like this version better, i never noticed that there were two different versions.. and honestly i don't even know which one i've been listening to for weeks now. such a great song. |

| Emery – Fractions Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
so it really sucks when, just coincidently, "he" turns the volume up at this line: "I wanted to mean everything to you but this isn't right" |
|
| Eisley – If You're Wondering Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| to me it's about not knowing how the other person feels, or at least not knowing how they think they feel - even if you think they feel a certain way. and maybe even being let down by the fact that they just can't seem to identify with their feelings and just be honest with themselves.. | |
| Damien Rice – Cold Water Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
in the lyrics, according to damien's website, it's 'no one's daughter' i've never understood that line either.. |
|
| Devics – If We Cannot See Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| and i think it might be 'and everything you want, you DON'T have' | |
| Devics – If We Cannot See Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
i agree completely with jes. and i'm of course stuck in this situation now, but the other person is the one in fear. love is all about risk people, yet we live our lives in fear. & love is nothing to be afraid of - if it's real, it's forever. |
|
| Damien Rice – Older Chests Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
beautiful song. 'time, there's always time, on my mind so pass me by, i'll be fine, just give me time..' wonderful time, and so relate-able. he's being completely honest with the fact that we spend so much time not focusing on the simple things and being happy with them - but even so, we have so much time to just turn that around, but the sad part is, we're constantly in a hurry, and don't do that.. |
|
| Hillsong UNITED – Hosanna Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
that's how i've always heard it too.. but anytime i go to lyric pages, it says 'break my heart for what is yours' - but i never hear it sang that way. oh, buttt i also hear it 'break my heart FOR what breaks yours' [not from] oh well, either way, it means the same thing to me, and it's an amazing song. |

| Sufjan Stevens – For the Widows in Paradise, for the Fatherless in Ypsilanti Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
this song is so pure in its portrayal of Jesus' love and sacrifice. and to whoever said the repetition of the last two lines is a sign of lyrical immaturity, i must say i disagree. it's emphasizing the meaning of the words. you don't have to have every line of the song be different to be 'lyrically mature'. lyrically mature is knowing when it's right and when it's wrong to repeat things, when things sound over done. if he would have made it more wordy, or even shortened the amount of times he says each of the two lines, it would have complicated or taken away from the song entirely. |
