| Crowbar – Command Of Myself Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song illustrates the essence of Crowbar. | |
| Crowbar – Dream Weaver Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| this is the most UNIMPORTANT song Crowbar has done. It's a cover for crying out loud. Post on "I Am Forever"....How can you believe someone hasn't posted on this song and not an actual Crowbar song that is relevant. This song means nothing. It is impotent. Kirk Windstein crushes Gary Wright's existence. | |
| Crowbar – Reborn Thru Me Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Kirks message in this song relates to what King Solomon learned. He done it all. All of the secular, wordly pleasures. Hereims of women. Drink. etc. All of this was emptiness and lead him to nothing. "Can't find what I'm after". He had a longing for something and it turned out to be spiritual. Having everything one could want will not constitute happiness. Brad Pitt takes endorphine pills. In order to be content one must have Jesus Christ. The title of this song is refrence to this. "Reborn Thru Me" We are reborn through Christ and our lives have true purpose - no longer are we slaves ot the dying, tired and empty. There is light. | |
| Crowbar – (Can't) Turn Away from Dying Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
How many of us have had brothers. close friends from childhood sink below the expectations we have set for them. their parents and families have set for them. that they have set for themselves. Becoming shells of what they once were. Addicted and crawling on the rock-bottom. Terrified of not what is in their future but what will happen if they stop and experience withdrawl. Heart-breaking experience fuel every word behind the words in this song. Dissapointment leads to anger which inevitabley leads to sorrow. |

| Crowbar – Suffering Brings Wisdom Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This song especially makes you remember all the friends that have died before their time due to pathes chosen by addiction - not logic or reason. It makes you remember the relatioships you've have spoiled due to your own addictions. All of the sorrow and pain you experience and overcome make you become a man. It raises a question however, is the "John Wayne" model for manhood what makes a true man? Or is being able to break down and express the torement and ache and move on from it -deal with it - not bottle it up and pressurize this grief what makes you become a man? Obviously Kirk has a way of venting this unto like-minded individuals who are able to submerge themselves in a sludge-like stasis. Being able to grow from these hurdles life sets before us makes us become men. not age. there are men who abuse drugs and alcohol who are like 18 year old high school students inside. Being able to grow up and take on responsibility for your actions and your feelings manifests maturity. Leave drugs and alcohol to those whom are slaves to the dying. Become a man. |

| Crowbar – Repulsive In It's Spendid Beauty Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This song is so heavy it implodes unto itself. The words Kirk is POURING from his soul will shatter what you thought constructed reality. To find such a large man so weary of life's troubles and able to express them in the sincere and extremely sludge-like way inwhich Crowbar functions is impossible outside of the destruction taking place in this masterpiece. |

| Yuck. Gay people are horrible. | |
| Necrophagist – The Stillborn One Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song is about how somethings have great expectations set before them. A new life. A piece of land. And they can either meet/exceed said expectations or faulter. | |
| Necrophagist – Seven Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Totally incorrect, "DreamingintheAEther". Preachers and Christian leaders (in general) do not condemn anyone to Hell, Catholics do that as well as various Muslim sects. While Preachers point out flaws that human beings make they themselves are not excluding themselves from this observation. Preachers know they are not perfect or sinless (and would be the first to inform you of this). It is silly for someone such as yourself to talk about Christianity when you know nothing about it. Living a "righteous" life doesn't mean you are going to Heaven. Having Jesus in your heart dictates this. "Distracting from your deficiencies while you point at others" - the point many start at. (You) But "(Once) Enlightened - You Judge and Execute" -Once you're enlightened you are capable of eliminating those who oppose effortlessly. "discover the seven" -"555" is the sign of man -"666" the beast/devil -"777" God Once you "discover the seven" you can enter Heaven. |

| Crowbar – ...and Suffer As One Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Agreed. | |
| Crowbar – Planets Collide Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is about your world coming down around you through either a catostrophic event or a series of negative events that lead you down a path of severe depression. The only thing holding you back is the way you feel about things that happened in the past that you are unable to change. Through moving on and growing from past mistakes and past strife you are able to overcome and equip yourself for life's next obstacle. | |
| Crowbar – Suffering Brings Wisdom Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
The title of this song provides infinite wisdom as to what not only the actual song is about but what Crowbar is about in general. "Time Heals Nothing" if you will. And this is very true. Time will heal nothing, only the time you allocate to getting over the pain which causes you said suffering will be the cure. "I'm so sick of doin' time. No. more. pain. - No. more. time." |

| Crowbar – Slave No More Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Alcoholism is an on-going dilema for Kirk, a fact we can derive from other songs such as "Failure to Delay Gratification". Another song that we can see this in is "Lasting Dose". It would do any man a great deal of good to experience the wealth of sorrow and torement that Kirk has went through via his lyrics as opposed to experiencing the formidable disease/condition of alcoholism. It truely is crippling and leads only to an early, lonely, death. |
|
| Crowbar – Lasting Dose Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Kirk feels extreme guilt for his past decisions and the ones which he may or may not be partaking in at the moment. I've looked into the man's eyes when he is playing and there is a sincerity there which is likely to crush most chest cavities. The "fuel" which he is draining from this certain individual is certainly not helping him in the long-run but he craves it despite the after-effects. this "fuel" could be anything from drugs, to pussy, or merely a sense of companionship. |
|
| Crowbar – Conquering Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
this song crushes me underneath an ocean of dark gravity. when the triumphant yet unbearably sorrowful solo/breakdown type part comes in i feel like i'm walking on a bed of skulls. probably the most sludge-like experience one could indulge in. |

| Ween – What Deaner Was Talkin' About Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Deaner was talkin about smokin crank/doing speed and stayin up all damn night. Think about it. Gener tweaked out and did all the laundry and now he doesn't have shit to do but his mind's still racin' and he's starting to come down and Gener was merely warning him that comin' down isn't very fun. | |
| Radiohead – Paperbag Writer Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
People often are too quick to make a Radiohead song into a liberal piece of garbage. I know Thom's stances as much as anyone else and there are some political songs which he does. But this song makes no sense when applied to Homeland security. "It was nice when it lasted but now it's gone". Try and tie that lyric in. I think the song is about someone who is high on drugs and/or delusional about something that is very relevant. To the point where being able to function and get a grip on life has been severly interfered with. They've been hiding by getting messed up and shirking their troubles. Or they are off-base in what they think and this is an individual or maybe a collective calling the person in question out. Telling them to collect themselves and stop being nusance. |
