This song also seems to be about struggling to make it big... Even the name suggests it. Starving your friends... cuz on tour people tend to go hungry since there isn't that much money involved in the beginning of your career. It's either... eat well or make it to the next show. Sacrifice. And he's basically saying stuff about how he feels like everyone is twice as tall as him or w/e cuz they're already up there.. and he feels like he can't handle it. If it is about that... then I guess in the chorus... 'damage' probably means like.. his impact and stuff on the industry... And how he prays.. but (quite obviously, from the other tracks) he's not religious... and he curses through his prayers.... and all that jazz... But at least he's being himself... "Who the hell are you?" seems to be directed to sellouts. |

I think this ones about a girl who killed herself and everyone is ashamed of her for doing so... And he's basically saying that she was a great person so there's no reason to be ashamed. Like... so what if she killed herself... appreciate her for who she was when she was alive. |

This is basically another religious thing about how a lot of religions try to make you feel guilty, scared and ashamed about not being a believer "Let's show them where the bad ones go" and the 'sinister looks' is basically to try to strike fear into you so that you decide to go to church and fall into that trap... |

And to Meaculpa it's "Thinking strictly in blues and reds" and "These eyelids are windows"... cuz he's saying that they shut her out from the things he doesn't want her to know... People read other peoples eyes... so I think that's what he's getting at. |

"the hand that feeds this race" is a commonly used term. It just kinda means like... The guy who's controlling everything. So maybe that friend of is the hand who fed the race because he started the beef between them and Ryan was disgraced to know that he fell into his lies or w/e. And I hear race pretty clearly... as it ties into "so open up..." very smoothly. Also rhymes with face and disgrace... Makes sense to me. |
