| Fall Out Boy – Don't You Know Who I Think I Am? Lyrics | 16 years ago |
i think the title is a reference to the libertines song "the boy looked at johnny" on verse of that song has the lyrics: the boy looked at Johnny he said 'don't you know who i think i am?' plus, pete is a huge libertines fan, from what i've heard. |

| Say Anything – Eloise Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I fell in love with the acoustic version and I was dreading the album version thinking it would be spoiled, but it's so good. I also like crimsonsky39's interpretation, you gave me a whole new way to look at this song. |

I agree with alltimelowkevin but then again I can see what laxer4 is saying, except the closest thing I have to religion is music. so yes, it was like relating to god in a way I suppose. |

| Fall Out Boy – My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light 'Em Up) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Where did everyone find this song? Was it one of those posts Pete does for 5 minutes on his blog? I've been gone so I am curious how this song popped up. And I think it sounds like FUCT. |
| Cobra Starship – Pete Wentz Is the Only Reason We're Famous Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is awesome to go running with. I like the edited version too where he says "You can ride to the top, but you can’t ride on my... penis" |
| Owl City – Fireflies Lyrics | 16 years ago |
My memory of this song will always be from earlier this summer while I was camping. I couldn't sleep (because I have insomnia) and I was dealing with losing one of my friends. So I went outside, where it was completely silent and black (except for the unimaginable amount of stars) and I laid down on my back, and put my iPod on shuffle. This song played right away, and I just froze for a couple minutes, watching the stars and listening. And I know it sounds cheesy, but it was as if nothing else existed in that moment. It was one of those memories that you can never completely explain to anyone, but it sticks with you none the less. Amazing song. |

| Panic! at the Disco – Oh Glory Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Spencer and Brendon are going to be amazing together, I have full faith in them. Also, I saw these lyrics on Wentz's blogspot a while ago (before that bitch locked it, I mean). So maybe he's helping a little with the writing? Or he just decided to throw them into the mix for that blog entry? |
| The Weakerthans – My Favorite Chords Lyrics | 17 years ago |
We'll write some notes to tape to the heavy machines These lines mean so much to me right now. Sometimes when you work so hard to please other people 24/7 you become an emotionless machine and forget that you have feelings and need to do what feels right to you instead of just going through the motions when people push the buttons to control you. It's nice to hear someone saying "We hope they treat you well" "Hope you don't work too hard" "We hope you get to be happy sometimes" even if it is in a song and even if you are just pretending its for you and even if that isn't really what the writer meant. It still means so much. |
| Fall Out Boy – Pavlove Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Midnight Cowboy and middleofthecabins, Pete is referring to Pavlov in this song's title, he posted about the phenomenon Pavlov discovered in his blog quite a bit during the whole CFOB drama. I'm not even going to try to relate it to the song though, that dude's mind is a brilliant mess. |

| Fall Out Boy – My Heart's Beating, You're Screaming Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| what is this from? | |
| Oasis – Wonderwall Lyrics | 17 years ago |
to me personally, this song is about loosing yourself and who you are in life. "all the roads that lead you there were winding and all the lights that light the way are blinding". so all the things that where suppost to be helpful in life were just making it worse and making you feel more and more lost. and you start giving up on yourself. "Back beat, the word is on the street that the fire in your heart is out" "Today was gonna be the day but they'll never throw it back to you" but then you find something or someone(or it finds you), wether its a person, a band, a hobbie or music, and it just pulls you back. you have faith again. "Maybe, You're gonna be the one that saves me" you want to show your gratetude and thank the person/thing but nothing you can put in to words can measure up what they have done for you. "I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now" "There are many things that I would like to say to you But I don't know how" |
| Oasis – Wonderwall Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| ^oh yeah, your cool. | |
| John Mayer – Slow Dancing in a Burning Room Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this really reminds me of survivor by chuck palahnuik. especially the title 'slow dancing in a burning room' and also the part that goes "Nobody's gonna come and save you We pulled too many false alarms We're going down And you can see it too We're going down And you know that we're doomed My dear, we're slow dancing in a burning room" and ''So you leave me feeling dirty Because you can't understand" has anyone else reathe the book / agree? |
| The Academy Is... – Summer Hair = Forever Young Lyrics | 17 years ago |
does this song sound a bit "we the kings-ish" to anyone else? anyways, i really like this line: stop making plans start making sense i can't believe its almost august already. |
| Fall Out Boy – Honorable Mention Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this is one of my favorite fall out boys. in my opinion, its safe to say its one of the best songs of their older stuff. they really have improved so much though. |
| Ashlee Simpson – Never Dream Alone Lyrics | 17 years ago |
So; I used to be a huge fan of ashlee's when I was younger, but I haven't really been getting into her new stuff. I did, however, but this song of her new album and I think it is beautiful. Its simplicity gives it such rawness and beauy in my opinion. has anyone read the Twilight series? this song really reminds me of those books. and i thought it was weird how this song just happened to use the phrase "midnight sun". I know 99% of you won't know what I am talking about so i am sorry. haha. |
| Fall Out Boy – It's Not a Side Effect of the Cocaine. I Am Thinking It Must Be Love. Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"why can you read me like no one else? I hide behind these words but I'm coming out I wish I kept them behind my tongue I hide behind these words but I'm coming out" I think he's saying that when he talks to this person he's in love with that he can tell her things he never told anyone else. perhaps even too many things sometimes, like how he feels about her. "put your hand between an aching head and an aching world we'll make them so jealous we'll make them hate us an aching head and an aching world we'll make them so jealous we'll make them so jealous" My theory for this part is that her being with him would upset "the world" (or just a lot of people) for whatever reason (maybe she is with someone else already?) and he wants to make "the world" jealous of him and her together. -and whenever i hear the "put your hand between an aching head and an aching world" part i picture someone {usually patrick :] heh} with there head in there hands. so maybe this line is just showing that it is tough on him- whether its being with the girl, or not being with the girl. "always you make my stomach turn and all the long drives with my friends blur" this section is my favorite. when you like someone so much just thinking about them puts your stomache in knots. and you are always thinking about them so they are always making your stomache turn. and when you get into thinking about them everything else around you is a blur. like no matter whats going on its not important. "and I wish I kept them inside my mind I hide behind these words" Maybe he's just going through all his past conversations and regretting some things or secrets he clued her in on. "and think of all the places where you've been lost and then found...out" he's thinking he was lost before she found him but isn't sure whether its more of her finding him or finding him out for who he really is and how he feels for her. "in between my sheets in between the rights and the wrongs" he's definitally done or thought about doing some "wrong" things with her. ( [; ) so, this is just my thought on this song. i feel more strongly about my theory for some parts of this song more than others, but then again they could be and probably are all wrong. this is just what it means to me though. I do think it is a love song and not completely a sad one. maybe pathetic-ish feeling but in a happy good way. I do love acoustic for this song though. it feels more raw in a way. yeah, i think i am done. -chelsea |

| Panic! at the Disco – She Had The World Lyrics | 17 years ago |
when ever i hear the part "Throwing a line out to sea. To see if I can catch a dream" i picture ryan with that one hat he wears a lot sitting on the moon with a fishing rod over the ocean like that one company has before movies. :) yeah, ryans part is definitally my favorite |
| Panic! at the Disco – Behind the Sea Lyrics | 17 years ago |
on the normal version of this song, theres like these three notes that play in the background once in a while, and i swear its from peter pan. it's during the verses i think and the first time it does it is at 10 seconds. did anyone else notice that? i'm out of it. |
