Thats what I think the lyrics are and as for enterpretation, I think the whole song is about their mind state as of now and their ultra-succesful band, which I take as being a little insecure but confident in their abilities as a band at the same time. To me their saying were the best but were getting old but were still fighting. I say that because when they say "Your Not The First Or The Last..." its like a critic talking abound bands because theyre not the first or the last band to exist but they might be the best("prettiest"). Then they say "He's A Fighter Past His Prime..." which I take the 'he' to mean Fall Out Boy as one person is still alive and fighting even with their trials, tribulations and succesful careers. FOB is the best.

The words ALPHA and OMEGA refer to the line in the 'Book of Revelation' (the last book of the New Testament) "I am the alpha and omega." Alpha and omega are also the "first and the last" (very similar to the lines in the song bridge) letters of the Greek alphabet.
Other than describing the religious reference in this song, I cannot find any possible explanation for it.

We'll become another ''has been'' band eventually, can't stop the inevitable, it's the end to a beginning. and a beginning to yet another end.... This is definitely one of my favorite Fall Out Boy songs. It's so nice. The lyrics make me happy. :D But sad at the same time. Because we all know they're breaking up, this could be one of their last songs ever released.
What is all this shit about them breaking up?! They're taking a break from their label, which means they won't be recording or writing any new songs or anything. They're seriously not breaking up... the word break should be banned from the music industry unless you are GENUINELY breaking up because it just causes stupid rumours like this!
