True say, sebharper. I don't know how the man found such confidence in him to write this song and share it with the world, but I suppose songwriting does take a lot of soul baring. Truth be told, it's a song to be very proud of. |

Stay in, black out, hit the floor.
Makes me wonder how many times he's done this. Great song, really. Last verse is reassuring, somewhat. |

for some reason this song just reminds me of an emotional affair, exchanging words with someone you're in love with. they're listening to each other, sharing everything, loves pain. "maybe we should just stop here", because the both of you will be hurting more than just yourselves. |

Oh man, the acoustic version of this is beautiful. I love how Tim puts so much passion into his music and the way he sings, the emotion is so strong.
And I love this lyric; "hell, there's a car in the driveway; fifty ways to get lost", so good. |

"something inside says it's easier to push you away, but stay", ergh, sometimes when you push people away... they end up staying pushed away, sure it's easier, but it a hell of whole lot lonelier. |

"Just accept and don't ask why", DAMN. I should've replied like that to him the other day when he kept asking me why.
Such a lovely song. |

i feel like this is about a guy who thinks he's "all that" and plays games - he's kind of like a jerk - and she doesn't want to like him, but she's completely smitten by him. "you can't get rid of me", she probably wishes she could get rid of him though, i know i do. |

fuck it. you can't be with the person you want to. perhaps you're not good enough for them, or maybe they're in love with another person, so you just slowly fucking start giving up. waste away by using drugs and drowning the pain in alcohol, LJKDSLJKSDFLJSDLFJKSDF yeah, that's how i feel. |

I know a girl with cuts on her legs.
I think that she hates the way she was made
-
self infliction?
anyways, this song is hauntingly beautiful. listening to this song makes me want to fix the girl whom this is about. |

no one has commented this song yet.
ok, i'll interpret it the way i see it (or how i would like to see it). she's comparing herself to this one girl, who seems to be perfect for this man. and perhaps, she could never compare?
and for some reason,. i'm getting the vibe of infidelity, of some sort.
'she doesn't know i know about it',
'i could never do the same'
'i'll just smile back when she waves'
those lyrics kind of make me feel that way. hah, people smile like that when they're hiding a secret. .
yeah, i know i'm way off about this song. |

this song makes me realize how it's become exhausting of being so fearful. and this lyric really hits me hard, 'and i'm afraid of how much i love you'. anyways, the tite, xanax, as someone pointed out is used to treat anxiety disorders and depression. oh, how i love mariah taylor. |

| Bright Eyes – A Line Allows Progress, a Circle Does Not Lyrics

this used to be one of my favourite bright eyes songs, back when i could relate to it.
i find this song terribly depressing. the drug references, alcoholism, depression, they're all thrown into this song.
i think the circle refers to .. a never ending process. day by day, it's the same damn routine. drugs, alcohol, sleep, repeat.
it's an amazing song. |

it's simply about the love he's witnessed between his grandparents. 'And they loved with devotion beyond what I understand', i think he really looks up to them for being able to find a love, hold onto that love, put their whole heart into it, which he cannot. |

i'm not getting the crippled vibe from this song. i feel that perhaps it's about insecurities, insecure with one's self and their physical display, yet i do agree with back_seat on this, it could easily be interpreted as a religious song. |
