this song is intense stuff, man. even though it's short, it tells a much deeper story than a lot of other songs. even without the lyrics, if the song was an instrumental, you would still feel the sensation of floating through water, lost. Well that's how it makes me feel, anyway. |

i think it's about being mad at the world and yourself for not being what you're expected to be and thinking that you're a failure. "I'm just as lost as you" suggests that he's talking to the people that expect him to do great and significant things, when in the end they went through the exact same thing. |

seems like he's doing something bad, almost illegal from the lyrics "The first degree was a riot/ We're makin' sure our lesson's learned" as in being arrested for being in a riot or it was a mess when he was arrested, and then the mention of "You settled for less/ then you'll settle again" suggests that the 'bad thing' that he is doing is in relationship to her. Not-so-Fair play of trying to get her back, maybe? And, at the end, "Got tired of waiting around" suggests that he gave up on trying to get her back. |

i absolutely love this song. an awesome ending, for the song and the album. The ending of this sounds a lot like the ending of New Beginning(Track 11) of Trapt's self-titled album. |
