| The Smashing Pumpkins – Lightning Strikes Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Cool. I'm willing to change it. A couple lyrics I was about to change anyway after repeat listens. What's your source? | |
| The Smashing Pumpkins – Owata Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I'm hoping it gets released on Teargarden as well. Billy hasn't been releasing the better songs (Owata, My Love is Winter, As Rome Burns, When the Cocks Crow) and I really hope they see light of day. | |
| The Smashing Pumpkins – Widow Wake My Mind Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| This song is one of the stronger off of Teargarden so far (as of this post "Lightning Strikes" was the last one released. It is a just a super power pop song. There's nothing wrong with it, it plays to a certain mood. Sometimes music can be simple and still profound. That being said, it doesn't hold a candle to "A Song For A Son", but neither does anything else yet. | |
| The Smashing Pumpkins – Lightning Strikes Lyrics | 14 years ago |
This song is a tribute to Electric Prunes bassist, Mark Tulin. He played the Pumpkins for a little while and was a good friend of Billy's. This song was actually written for the Electric Prunes, but Billy took it back so he could use it as a tribute. I found this song better with repeat listens. Actually took me a couple listens to really feel/understand it. Looking forward to free track number 10 to complete the 3rd EP for Teargarden. Looking forward to the EP after that even more. |

| The Smashing Pumpkins – Gossamer Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Oh no doubt it's the best song of the last decade. | |
| The Smashing Pumpkins – 1979 Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I dont think it has anything to do with reminiscing about teenage years seeing as how Billy only would've been about 11 in 1979. | |
| The Smashing Pumpkins – Gossamer Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This performance on If All Goes Wrong had me completely floored. My favorite band for quite a few years now, and I knew Corgan's talent was incredible, but I didnt realize he was God of music. | |
| The Smashing Pumpkins – Mouths of Babies Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Good song for sure, rockin, but not in Pumpkins traditional style. Much different. Probably why it was sorta a b-side. | |

Relentless is the correct word to describe Chamberlain's drumming. He's just so solid. -the Happiness Salesman |
| In Flames – Alias Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think the fact that their swedish and dont speak the best english has an affect on the lyrics. a little lost in translation maybe, but I think the fact that it's metal makes it not matter what the lyrics are. If the voice is being used as an instrument, and being done well, well that's all that matters. | |

| Spoken – The Way that You Want me to Be Lyrics | 19 years ago |
cant believe noone's commented on this. This song is instrumentally amazing. the way it opens and all the instruments seem to just drone on independently yet work together so well...Ah, just fantastic. Very very underrated band. I have felt the way described in the song. In Christ The Happiness Salesman God Bless. |
| Spoken – A Question Alone Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Grand Style. It's tough to analyze. they sound like Rage Against the Machine aaaaaand...Linkin Park, smashed together, done their own Christian way. Lemme know if you think of a better comparison. I was trying to include instruments and lyrical style in that. In Christ The Happiness Salesman God Bless. |
| Spoken – David Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Yeah I love this song, i feel the vocals along with the music mirror my feelings of being a Christian, how the passion just makes me want to sing, and some times yell in joy and release happy adrenaline. sounds dumb, but i think this is great. In Christ, The Happiness Salesman God Bless. |
| Spoken – Forevermore Lyrics | 19 years ago |
personally i think the lyrics are pretty bad and cliche, but i'm not trying to diss them. I love these guys. but i think it's how any song or poem that's really really felt from the inside is nearly impossible to turn out written well lyrically. someone told me once that love poems that are really felt are usually bad, and the ones that are really good, usually arent felt as passionately on the inside. i think this falls into that. still, good work building up the Christian music scene. In Christ, The Happiness Salesman God Bless. |

| Spoken – This Path Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| lyrics are slightly wrong, but no big deal. doubt anyone will even read this, but this is basically just how it feels to be a Christian struggling with everyday life, facing convictions, and feeling guilty. it's pretty fantastic. like it's not all joy all the time choosing this path. trying to follow the path of righteousness is one of the biggest guilt trips in the world when you mess up. I could write about this forever, but i'll just leave it with the drums in this song are amazing!!! | |
| John Reuben – Chapter I Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Obvious what it means...I'd just like to comment on how great John Reuben is as a lyricist. | |
| Project 86 – Doomsday Stomp Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| hahaha, if we were guessing we'd be hanged by now. | |
| Project 86 – Team Black Lyrics | 19 years ago |
It's a crazy thought though isnt it? How the Savior makes his blood synonomous with alcohol in the church...I dont even know how else to comment on that. Especially when drinking is not a sin, but getting drunk IS. Like, abusing what he's given us is bad for us...I dont even want to get into that right now haha. God Bless |

| Project 86 – Little Green Men Lyrics | 19 years ago |
little green men refers to the little army men you get when you're little. I love the sandbox philosophies of this song. Corporations are the corporations putting out the little army men. a satire of trying to get children wanting to be army men, going to war, fighting, you know like little boys are. like a "smoking is cool" but about fighting and war and violence. put those ideas together and you got it, now go and read the song again.. Oh, and yes, Project 86 is a Christian Band. In Christ The Happiness Salesman |
| Project 86 – Chimes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This song is about being tempted by the devil or just demons in general. For him it may have been alcohol, but I think the song was written more vaguely than that to make it apply to everyone and their sinful nature. Schwabb always writes the best lyrics In Christ The Happiness Salesman |
| Primus – Here Come The Bastards Lyrics | 19 years ago |
No politics here. and no, not Bush cause this was written way before him. Although the album is political and full of war and whatnot, i think that's just the motif. the music scene interpretation is good In Christ, The Happiness Salesman |
| Primus – The Toys Go Winding Down Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I like both WarmPBR's and nocolorworlds interpretations. nocolorworlds seems a little more thought out, and i thnk it makes a little more sense. the end is fishing for sure and the pudding time could either be just in the boat, back at the clinic, or just lingering craziness, cant be sure, but the bass in this song rocks, one of Primus's Best. Claypool is a bass legend. Oh, and i like WarmPBR's interpretation because that is what i would like it to be. In Christ The Happiness Salesman (I know I didnt make that much sense this time) |

| Avenged Sevenfold – The Wicked End Lyrics | 19 years ago |
A lot of these ideas are just kinda floating there, not getting too deep. I AM a Christian, I love this song, but I dont think that A7X is Christian by any means, nor do they even believe the things in this song, i think they just like the way that it sounded and figured that writing about it would be easy because of the large biblical vocabulary. With names like Synyster Gates and Johnny Christ and Shadows, yeah, it's about a devastating world ending moment, but not because they're Christians, just for the sake of writing it I think. With music like this I suggest they start seeking the Word of Christ though. We could use more good Christian bands God Bless, The Happiness Salesman (Dont hate me because I'm outspoken.) |

| Blue October – Drilled a Wire Through My Cheek Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Justin Furstenfeld of Blue October is indeed a Schizophrenic. The Wire Drilled through the cheek is a metaphorical wire connecting the little devil on his left shoulder with the little angel on his right. He tries to grab hold of them as one entity and destroy it to put his personality in check and understand himself better. All of the stuff that sounds sexual in the song to 0bsol33t is showing the deepness of the relationship with himself and how he hates and wants to understand himself. In Christ, The Happiness Salesman |
| Project 86 – Soma Lyrics | 19 years ago |
It's a satire on common society directed at those whom cant be themselves. it's probably a personal thing for Schwabb as well, a self-conviction that maybe he himself has fallen into a few times, but yeah, everyone should read Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, it's chilling. Well written song. In Christ, The Happiness Salesman |
| Project 86 – Sincerely, Ichobod Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Makes sense. That's how I see it. the drawing black lines thing i agree could give it a slight double meaning, but not a very prominent or important one, i do think that line was about their music changing slightly, but like isaid it doesnt seem that important. -the happiness salesman |
| Project 86 – Sincerely, Ichobod Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Love these lyrics. P86 is such a hard band to interpret really, but you know that they are always pusing good morals. i love this song, it's about what everyones been saying, cutting away the sin, but the cool part for me is the conviction "off with your head" As a Christian i know i'm a sinner, so to yell at myself as well as be yelled at in a Christ way like that is amazing I love the "With a steady steady hand hand hammer hammer blade blade through you sweaty skin skin" it's the dissecting of what's making you that way, figuring out what's wrong in your life, and fixing it, removing all that's a hindrance. bleed the old man being killing who you were in that sense. awesome metaphors once again by Project 86 In Christ -The Happiness Salesman |

| Project 86 – Necktie Remedy Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This song is definitely about Alcoholism and how it is such an unwise decision to try to escape life by drinking. You say: "The sugarcube mixture saves the day." You say: "The green cloudy waters will take you away." But when dawn floods in With the day The journey I imagined brought Me right back here to a swing from a necktie remedie, necktie remedie i mean honestly, it's getting drunk, they raise their drinks high. it's an escape from life, work " the necktie" but not only work, responsibility, instead of facing problems people are avoiding them by drinking. "when the dawn floods in" i mean it's getting hammered, waking up, not know whats going on, except that knowing they avoided another night of thinking by making that night immemorable. The well is a deep pit you get yourself into each time you drink, how you put yourself there, hide there, escape, i'm pretty sure, i dont see how it could be interpreted otherwise. I love Project 86 -In Christ, The Happiness Salesman |
